STRIKING DISTANCE!

one of my favorite hardcore bands, I encourage everyone to check out that site. You can download a couple mp3s by following the link at the bottom of the page.

NewKindofArmy03 07-23-2004 08:37 PM

i have the song tear it down on my playlist, i like it.

Let's Chop Cats! 07-23-2004 10:38 PM

Just got home from Hellfest, give me some time to shower and stuff and I'll review my day.

BuddyBigsby 07-24-2004 12:54 AM

I want to hear about Prayer for Cleansing tomorrow, young man.

dustindow 07-24-2004 12:56 AM
I want to hear about Prayer for Cleansing tomorrow, young man.
As much as I wouldn't mind watching them, but they're playing the exact same time as Bane. Tomorrow I'm so psyched for Shattered Realm.

I made a thread for my review, also I'll probably put it in the Show Review thread.

Silvermedalmafia 07-24-2004 01:18 AM

We have got, nothing better to do, than watch tv and have a couple brews.

BuddyBigsby 07-24-2004 02:33 AM

Alright, sounds good. I heard about Bane playing the same time as PFC. That sucks.

Joel_DK_Clash 07-25-2004 11:06 AM

Um, i dont know if this has already been explained in this thread because i kipped like 22 pages....but, Would Earth Crisis be Metalcore or Hardcore?

really bad vegan straight edge metal.

NewKindofArmy03 07-25-2004 11:39 AM

did anyone ever hear of These Days. they're a really good hardcore band from california. www.thesedayshc.com they have mp3's on their site so check them out.

Nra4ever_17 07-25-2004 02:15 PM

Isn't the old meat puppets stuff (the ones where they scream all the total nonsense) hardcore? Also I'd call Leftover Crack a good example of hardcore, and maybe Husker Du as well.

NewKindofArmy03 07-25-2004 03:56 PM

i wouldn't call of any of those bands hardcore, some maybe hardcore punk.

NewKindofArmy03 07-25-2004 09:38 PM

there are so many rumors spreading about bad luck 13's set at hellfest today, it's insane.

40 oz 2 freedom 07-26-2004 11:18 PM

Did iHATEgc die?

BuddyBigsby 07-26-2004 11:48 PM

Hahaha, holy crap 40, I just came into this thread to ask that same question.

Well, I know he moved to Cali. He said he'd be on a lot more but... I see no sign of him.

pedro durruti 07-27-2004 12:24 AM

He's probably getting his internet set up.

BuddyBigsby 07-27-2004 12:45 AM

I don't think so, he already posted in this thread after he moved here.

pedro durruti 07-27-2004 01:15 AM

He was at his Aunt's house

BuddyBigsby 07-27-2004 02:01 AM

Ohhhhh, ok.

BuddyBigsby 07-27-2004 02:15 AM

Laguna Beach, I think.

salparadise094 07-27-2004 09:14 AM
Click here if you would like to hear one of the best metalcore bands:

The I Collective
http://www.theicollective.com/tic_-_01.mp3
http://www.theicollective.com/tic_-_02.mp3

These guys go to/used to go to my school. Unfortunately, they broke up because they're a bunch of drunken idiots.:(

Good band, good live show. The singer would sometimes go out into the middle of the pit and start beating the shit out of kids in the middle of a song.
Anywhere we can get more I Collective? That would be tits if we could.

salparadise094 07-27-2004 09:15 AM

While I remember, what genre would Saetia fall into? I'd say they are closer to the original concept of emo laid out by Rites of Spring, but that's just my two cents.

cbmartinez 07-27-2004 11:10 AM

Would Copeland or the June Spirit be considered emo?

art of losing 07-27-2004 11:24 AM

anyone like folly? i think they are a good band.

cbmartinez 07-27-2004 01:14 PM

What about the June Spirit?

halfwayryan 07-27-2004 01:28 PM

What category would you put these guys in?

http://www.bandbuilder.com/mychemicalromanceplayer/index.php?ref_code=D53814

BuddyBigsby 07-27-2004 03:33 PM

I like Copeland, but not emo.

And I haven't heard June Spirit. I'll take a listen later and dish out my two cents.

thewaterispoison 07-27-2004 08:33 PM

Nice thread guys, wish i'd found it sooner.. but anywho, i'm curious as to what you would call Coheed and Cambria? Thanks :thumb:

pedro durruti 07-27-2004 08:35 PM

Not hardcore...

cbmartinez 07-27-2004 09:07 PM

I just listened to a bunch of CDs. Some "real screamo," Neil Perry, Crestfallen, Envy (them crazy Japanese folk), Majority Rule, Kaospilot pageninetynine, badcannon (it was something like that, I believe their on Level Plane), Saetia, Love Lost But Not Forgotten. Also, the new Dillinger sounds so good, so does the new Misery Signals. Time in Malta sounded pretty bad. Converge is coming out with a new album this September.
