poprocks&coke 06-10-2006 02:32 PM

Scattered is the best song on Nimrod imo.

Bad Blood 06-10-2006 02:45 PM

nag*with*a*gun 06-10-2006 02:49 PM

nahhhh its hitchin a ride and uptight as well as king for a day

I like nimrod the same as dookie, nimrod's pretty good because the best songs they have on it are awesome songs.

Bad Blood 06-10-2006 02:50 PM

king for a day was good live yeah

nag*with*a*gun 06-10-2006 02:57 PM

yeh on bullet when they paired it w/ shout? quite a performance there by billie joe.

chumpradio 06-10-2006 04:20 PM

King For A Day is one of the funnest songs live, although Billie Joe does keep you entertained.
I would gladly pay to see Green Day again. I would gladly go to Milton Keynes again, especially if they had support as good as last time. JEW and TBS ftw.

Ross 06-10-2006 04:33 PM

Insomniac is my favourite Green Day album. It's so underrated.

Oz Rembrandt 06-10-2006 05:15 PM
Scattered is the best song on Nimrod imo.
YES :thumb:

Ross - Insomniac isn't underrated in my eyes, its just great.

poo-poo-pee-pee 06-10-2006 11:00 PM

Alot of people say Warning is thier worst album, but I'd put in in my top 3 personally, I love it. Songs like 'Minority', 'Blood, Sex & Booze', 'Castaway', 'Misery', 'Warning'... I just love 'em all.
I can see why people wouldn't like it, as it is quite a dramatic change in stlye for them, but I like it.
Dookie will always be my No. 1 though. It's a classic, and was my first album ever. I got it on tape when I was like 5, haha.

Fire Away 06-11-2006 04:12 AM

Listened to AI today after its seven month absence from my cd player...tis really a fine album. I was really enjoying it, even Boulavard and ...When September Ends which I thought would bore the crap out of me forever.

Church on Sunday and Castaway are some of Green Day's best songs.

Bad Blood 06-11-2006 05:16 AM

Yeah, for me, Warning was an amazing aslbum for like half a year or so. I used to think it was one of the best albums ever created haha, but now I don't see it as anywhere near as good as I used to think.

Get Fighted 06-11-2006 10:54 AM

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives!

nag*with*a*gun 06-11-2006 03:59 PM

yeh I keep hearing on the grapevine that warning is the poppiest album they did.. is it true?

Dead Star 06-11-2006 04:00 PM

Either Warning or American Idiot I think.

Oz Rembrandt 06-11-2006 04:02 PM

Warning has far more folk-y influences. Lots of Acoustic guitars and such.

Untitled 06-11-2006 04:03 PM

I love warning i realy do.

Blood Sex and Booze is greendays best song.

Dead Star 06-11-2006 04:04 PM

*At the Library

We could keep this up a while.

nag*with*a*gun 06-11-2006 04:06 PM

^ i think AI( in terms of the music's sound, not how popular it is) wasn't that pop sounding.

Untitled 06-11-2006 04:08 PM

You both spelt blood sex and booze wrong.
I'm in distress, oh mistress, I confess so do it one more time
Best lyrics ever.

Compared to the likes of Dookie and Insomniac, I find it quite poppy sounding.

nag*with*a*gun 06-11-2006 04:12 PM

imo the music is less pop-punk sounding. its like a median.

compared to insomniac, I agree.

hello_mr_jones 06-11-2006 05:14 PM

dookie wasn't that not pop sounding.

pgm 06-11-2006 07:15 PM

Define Pop. I define pop as catchy music. The Beatles were pop. The Ramones were pop. It's funny that punk is thought of as anti-pop when there are so many pop influences in punk.

yourstruly 06-11-2006 10:22 PM

I think American idot is more rock sounding than pop. To me dookie is pretty poppy.

Ross 06-12-2006 02:26 AM

On the subject of pop, Slayer do some poppy songs...

poprocks&coke 06-12-2006 12:06 PM

Angel of Death is one of my favourites. It's so easy and catchy to sing along to.

(don't get me wrong I love that song)

nag*with*a*gun 06-12-2006 02:42 PM

pop is really a lot of things. I think it basiacally has to be catchy, like pgm said, but also... maybe... hmmmmm this requires quite a lot of thought.
pop can be really good, but not when using the word to mean "popular" pop.
