Not nearly as annoying as you.
Matt is more annoying than every other thing you can ever imagine.

lynch_me 10-22-2005 03:02 PM
I don't think it's weird at all; you shouldn't either if you're an American. Our country criticizes just about every other country and how they are run, or are completely apathetic and couldn't care less about how their own country is run, never mind the world.

With all that aside, the problems they talk about are indeed more global (as stated before) than singular. I mean, even things that seem singular typically aren't for the US. The most powerful nation on Earth has that title for a reason; just about everything we do effects the rest of the world. You have to expect criticism when that's the case. So again, I wouldn't say that having a Canadian band criticize us is odd or bothersome at all. Besides, they have plenty of criticism in their albums about various countries as well, Canada included.
I agree with that all the way. Even Chris has said, "Everyone wonders why we only sing about America, and why we don't sing about our own country. Well, we do. Canada is a smaller version of the US" Besides I think a band should be able to sing about whatever they want to. Saying they shouldn't because they're Canadian is ridiculous, this is something people need to get over. I've heard they even use to recieve death threats when they were in Florida. Conclusion: They participate in protests in Canada and are aware of Canadian and world issues as well.

I was going to post that for whoever asked why they sing about American issues.

It was from an online interview, if you google it it should be on the first page somewhere, just type in Propagandhi interview

Brain Toad 10-22-2005 06:29 PM

I just merged a couple of the recent Propagandhi threads together (kept Sam's title for the thread) to keep discussion all together. This is not an official thread, but if it reaches 1000 posts it will be officialed.

Buzzbomb 10-22-2005 06:34 PM
Nah, that guy in the Pop-punk forum, 10571z wins the prize as MX's most annoying user.
TakeWarning 10-25-2005 07:37 AM
England dates preferably.
Yeah, Australia too. World tour maybe.
definately. There are some other close contenders, but for all round stupidity it goes to that guy
He's such a fag. I should challenge him to a rap-battle.

Bicuspid 10-25-2005 06:30 PM

379!! We are so close! ohhh, wait.. Nevermind, I failed counting.

lynch_me 10-25-2005 06:33 PM
Yeah, Australia too. World tour maybe.

Propagandhi are so lazy. They will probably do those few dates, and then go to sleep for another 4 years.

POINTLESS5448 11-06-2005 12:14 PM

how does one pronounce potemkin?

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 11-06-2005 12:15 PM

Po-tem-kin

That's how I've been saying it.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-06-2005 12:43 PM
definately. There are some other close contenders, but for all round stupidity it goes to that guy

Nah, that guy in the Pop-punk forum, 10571z wins the prize as MX's most annoying user.
Yeah, I know. He's been always on top in my list and James knows it.

I just said that to make Matty happy.

Liebensaft 11-06-2005 01:47 PM

I'm glad I don't leave the punk or bass forums then.

albert_bass 11-06-2005 01:48 PM
I'm glad I don't leave the punk or bass forums then.
I think there's more idiots on the bass and punk forums. It's just they're not regulars (usually).

feldwebel 11-07-2005 09:54 AM

i just received a mail from chris himself , he was talking about guitar stuff...maybe if someones intrested i'll post that shi't
he also said he hopes they'll get their butts to germany within the next 12 months ......which means........ EUROPE TOUR!!!
hell yeah

albert_bass 11-07-2005 09:57 AM

Awesome. I wish they come here.

feldwebel 11-07-2005 12:20 PM

Udo,

I am chris hannah, yes. I wish it ruled for me.

We don't very often because 1) we have other things going on and 2) I don't
like sitting in a van all day.

Here's some interviews: http://www.propagandhi.com/faq/

Fat wreck handles our cd's outside of canada.

Yeah, we don't really have solid distribution for G7 stuff in europe. There
isn't really a demand I guess.

Guitars/ amps: pretty much anything. It's different from record to record.
Empires was Ibanez's with Boogie's, Potemkin was Gibson's with Peavey's and
Marshalls, How to Clean was a Kramer with a Crate. So there is no constant
set-up. They all sound mediocre to me!

Hope that helps!

Chris

DrGolovaCroxby 11-08-2005 03:21 AM

the new album was pretty bland. not awful, but just kinda bland.
