Yo Lunch why don't ya give the ol' thread a name change, Ya know Like the Who

Lunch 09-19-2005 02:09 PM

Because it looks more official the way it is right now.

Dragon_Prince 10-01-2005 08:24 AM

Did you know there is gonna be a movie/biography of the who ...

Mike Myers is probably going to play Keith Moon

Lunch 10-01-2005 08:27 AM

I heard about that a while ago but then didn't hear anything else about it. You know anymore information?

Dragon_Prince 10-01-2005 08:32 AM
I heard about that a while ago but then didn't hear anything else about it. You know anymore information?
Nope, just read it on a mvoie site and that one is in dutch ;) so sorry

Riva 10-01-2005 08:32 AM

Comedy or drama?

Lunch 10-01-2005 08:35 AM

The life of Moon could be a really outstanding movie as long as they got a really quality actor to do it.
The life of Moon could be a really outstanding movie as long as they got a really quality actor to do it.
Yeah, I agree. As long as it still showed the crazy side of him, as well as the fact he was still human, and concetrated on his increadable talent.

Lunch 10-01-2005 09:20 AM

The drama side of his personality would be interesting as well. He was so unbalanced and had all these self-destructive problems that made him such an amazing character to analyze. Could be a great psychological film.

Dragon_Prince 10-01-2005 09:51 AM

But does anyone think Mike Myers could do it?

It's a good actor, but I don't see him as someone who smashes up his drumkit ...

Lunch 10-01-2005 10:09 AM

No, he would be good at just the funny side of Moon, not any of the other parts.

JohnXDoesn't 10-01-2005 12:57 PM

I think it could be interesting. And I beieve Mike does play drums, if not a drummer exactly. I do recall a drama or two he has been in, also. He does a good job. He can play depressed/sad pretty well. So that's a plus. And angry, too. Could work out depending on the director. I wonder who would play the rest of the band? Could you imagine having to play Pete? Where the hell would you start? Or John? You would have one line and just stand around the whole film. Whatever the case, if this movie thing is more then a rumor I'm all for it. Sounds like a good bit of fun.

Looks as if it may actually be true...

EDIT: That is, if you believe everything you read on the internet. But still...

JohnXDoesn't 10-01-2005 01:20 PM

Actually it looks true, yeah. Lots of links came up in that search so there has obviously been business done and some interest. Looks like the first word of it was way back in 2002. But as we all know it can take a while to get a film made. And since it looks to be a Moon bio pic and not a Who bio in particular, that makes it all the better. A Who bio would be a bit much. But one on Moon I think would be very interesting.

Woodstock 10-01-2005 02:01 PM

Wow, It'll be hard to take Meyers as a serious actor after Austin Powers and Wayne's World.

Mike Myers is a drummer yes, I think he gives lessons too :P

Lunch 10-02-2005 10:30 AM

I heard that the Who's new album may not even start for a couple more years now, because Townshend wants to make sure he writes strong enough songs for the album.

Townshend is gonna be the death of me. The man is obviously insane. I think all that loud music has damaged his brain. :smash:

Lunch 10-02-2005 11:24 AM

Yea probably, but you might as well go down on his ship.

drummingtilldawn 10-02-2005 11:34 AM

Great job man. THE WHO ROCKS!!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!
KEITH MOON IS STILL THE BEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dragon_Prince 10-02-2005 12:20 PM

Wil Daltrey and Townshed still live then? I just hope those you will perform sometime over here 8-)

rockinbass17 10-02-2005 12:33 PM

^Don't talk like that.

When Townshend dies I think I'm gonna cry. :upset:

wanderer 10-03-2005 12:02 PM

Mike Myers ????? wel, that movie went to toilet....
Jason Swartzman

http://img57.imageshack.us/my.php?image=16jn.jpg

end of story.

Lunch 10-03-2005 01:56 PM

Wow, that is a striking resemblence, but Jason Swartzman is only good at playing a loser in bad comedy movies.

wanderer 10-03-2005 02:48 PM

Really ?, then you must really hate Mike Myers because Jason is better actor than Myers is and ever will be.... much better actor.
All the Jason movies I have seen have beenn way better than any Myers films.

Lunch 10-03-2005 02:49 PM

I wouldn't want either of them to do it, personally.

PinkFreud 10-03-2005 03:19 PM

hey. i heart huckabees was pretty good.

Lunch 10-03-2005 03:27 PM

I'm not saying they suck, but you need a really great actor to be Keith Moon.

JohnXDoesn't 10-03-2005 03:29 PM
I'm not saying they suck, but you need a really great actor to be Keith Moon.
Lunch 10-03-2005 03:29 PM
