The problem with that for me is that I have a stupid Fender Squire with....I don't know....19 frets. lol. Plus, its pretty broken. I have to save up for a new guitar. Any ideas?

fadetoblack_xxx 06-21-2005 10:09 AM

Needled 24/7
Angels Don't Kill
Every Time I Die

iamtheking 06-21-2005 10:12 AM

What tuning are their guitars in?

Taste_My_Scythe 06-21-2005 10:13 AM

Usually always D. In Sixpounder its drop C.

Buy a Jackson or Mockingbird w/ 24 frets. I got my Mockingbird for 1/2 off at

That link didn't work. I will definately look that up though, thanks. How much do they usually run?

flamesofbodom 06-21-2005 10:14 AM

link's fix'd

flamesofbodom 06-21-2005 10:16 AM

I use it for my compositions

Squirrel 06-21-2005 10:17 AM

D standard
Drop D: Down one tone for Sixpounder
C# standard on their first album.

I play in D standard or Bb standard, havent used E standard in a good few months now.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-21-2005 10:17 AM

Sweet. Since we are on the Bodom thread, how good are ESPs?

Squirrel 06-21-2005 10:18 AM

It depends, as a whole theyre great metal guitars, with little use outside of that genre. They also run up a hefy price, unless its a LTD.

Theres better metal guitars out there though, but they run a very high price tag.

flamesofbodom 06-21-2005 10:23 AM

ESP doesn't really provide a metal sound most of the time. There's a bunch of others like Ibanez, Jackson, some BC Rich, Gibson(if they work for you).

Squirrel 06-21-2005 10:33 AM

If ESP doesnt provide metal sound then .. i cant think what to say.

If you have the cash, you cant beat getting a caparisson

/drools

ArcLite 06-21-2005 10:54 AM

ESP, Jackson, and Ibanez are probably the best for metal.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-21-2005 11:04 AM

Well, I have to find something that works, that is also low prices. I have no job. I'm planning on getting one asap, but things are just too crazy right now. Thanks for the advice guys, I'll take it.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-21-2005 12:07 PM

Same here, most of the time. I've only been REALLY playing for 2 years (maybe), so I don't think I suck so bad.
