hookers_with_herpes 07-31-2005 11:49 AM

If you haven't been listening to Severed Head of State, you've definitely been missing out.

COP ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hookers_with_herpes 07-31-2005 12:35 PM

Not everything on the original list is crust, but regardless, I love tons of those bands, particularly Wolfbrigade/wolfpack, Aus Rotten/BEL, Civil Disobedience, Tragedy/HHIG, amebix, Chaos uk, misery & extinction of mankind (apocalyptic crust is killer!), rambo

RetiredAt21 07-31-2005 12:38 PM

What about Everyone I Know Must Die? They are crust aren't they? Shouldn't they be on the list?

RetiredAt21 07-31-2005 12:39 PM

I can't believe I've been missing out on them for so long. I'm ashamed. :(

sirTHRASH 07-31-2005 01:33 PM
I'm actually good friends with some of the guys from Severed Head of State/World Burns To Death, and I saw Hellshock last month in Austin at the Chaos in Tejas fest. As for crust bands, check out my crust band list: http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211847

...and for some good grind to check out, get some Phobia and some Nasum. :thumb:

The GPG Archive has 2 songs form each band, here're the links:

...and if ye enjoy those tracks, just ask, and I'll YSI some albums. :thumb:
I'm going to ask for some albums. :)

RetiredAt21 07-31-2005 06:50 PM

There's a huge difference. Anarcho is just music with anarchist lyrics. It doesn't have to be punk. Crust, on the other hand, is pretty much punk, but heavier.

RetiredAt21 07-31-2005 06:51 PM

Yes, some albums would be awesome.

Feel The Darkness 07-31-2005 07:35 PM

Will do, I'll have some albums uploaded soon.

Kontrovers
I'll check 'em out when I get a chance.

I'd add 'em, more thrashy than other bands, but they work fine for this list. Oh, and ye just fergot the 2nd 'a' in Macabra in the link, thus the link doesn't work. Here's a working link: http://www.forcamacabra.com
What about Everyone I Know Must Die? They are crust aren't they? Shouldn't they be on the list?
Haven't heard, linkage?
Not everything on the original list is crust, but regardless, I love tons of those bands, particularly Wolfbrigade/wolfpack, Aus Rotten/BEL, Civil Disobedience, Tragedy/HHIG, amebix, Chaos uk, misery & extinction of mankind (apocalyptic crust is killer!), rambo
Yeah, some aren't exactly crust, although they have an obvious crust influence, thus most crust fans would/do like em. Such as R.A.M.B.O., they're hardcore as fuck, yet they have a crust influence.
whatthe **** is the difference between crust and anarcho
haha

Crust, as explained prior in the thread, had ye known if ye read the whole thing, is "apocalyptic hardcore", as I've heard be called. Think hardcore with a tinge of metal and, usually, growling vocals. Lyrics will range from political to social topics, and alot of talk of war.

whiteminority 08-01-2005 08:11 AM
Still, Pg. 99 are awesome. You really think the Number 12 are screamo?
Yeah I definately feel they are screamo though it can be tough to discern the screamo from the grind they have sometimes.

RetiredAt21 08-01-2005 09:14 AM

I haven't payed attention to their lyrics, so their screamo-ness could have very well eluded me.

RetiredAt21 08-01-2005 09:16 AM

I'm pretty sure Everyone I Know Must Die have a purevolume or something like that. I'll check.

AA-12 08-01-2005 09:24 AM
Will do, I'll have some albums uploaded soon.
Awesome, I can't wait.

RetiredAt21 08-01-2005 02:09 PM

I can't wait either. I really want to hear more of their stuff.

Feel The Darkness 08-01-2005 02:47 PM

hahaha, good thing I looked in here, I had already forgotten to upload some albums...

Severed Head of State - An Invitation to Beheading and Anathema Devices LP Loading...

World Burns to Death - The Art of Self Destruction EP and The Sucking of the Missile Cock LP Loading...

...and if ye still want some more, I got several SHoS EPs I can upload, but i'll leave those to request. Though i highly doubt anyone would deny such an offer.

RetiredAt21 08-01-2005 03:20 PM
