I picked up Phish - Rift....another great CD although I kinda knew that since I had already listened to all the songs.
I also picked up Deep Blue Something - Home, a pretty sweet CD. Anyone into the Spin Doctors? I like them but I haven't had a chance to hear any of their newer stuff. |
They're pretty good, I like their bass player he has some funky lines. I didn't know they had newer stuff, I thought they broke up in the mid 90's.
|
They're okay, Chris Barron's cool.

I could've sworn today that the Spin Doctors had a 2004 CD...can't find it anywhere so I must be imagining things :amaze: |
I think I could be considered a jam band fan coundn't I?
I have loved the Allmans for a long time and I like Govt Mule alot. I also love the the Grateful Dead(thanks to Badmoon) and now I am wearing a tye dye Grateful Dead shirt right now! I also enjoy Phish and a bunch of other jam bands such as Robert Rudolph and the Family Band and Galactic. I also go to nugs alot let alone discovered it for JPJ and maybe other people if you guys haven't heard of it.
I missed getting to see Robery Rudolph and the Family Band :upset: But I did get to go to see the Allman Brothers Band before so it all sort of evened out I guess. |

You guys have probably already discussed this but-Bonnarroo anyone?
|
I'm pretty sure keep on phishin' has been to it several times. I've heard lots of recordings from it and they're all awesome. It would be orgasmic to be there.
I was just looking at the 2004 schedule....OMFG!!! |

Yeah I'm going with a big group of people. Adults included, but I don't care, I can really enjoy stuff sober. And they won't be sleeping with us so we'll make up for it each night. |

Man you're so lucky, there's no way I could go. I want to be 18 :( |
I must go to Bonnaroo this summer. I finally have my driver's license, and I don't mind driving 6 hours to get there.
|
Well, you would have to be living in the same state, or be going with someone older, or you have to break the law!!!
|
Really? That's a law? I wasn't aware, but anyway I'm so going to it my senior year.
|

Same, I'll see you there in 4 years then.:) |

What, You have to be 18 years old to get in?!? Bullocks to that. I guess I'll have to wait one more year. It better be worth the wait. |
i get to work there this summer! we got jobs as "parking supervisors", so we basically spend 6-8 hours the first day, get payed 400 bucks, and get free admission to the festival.

he meant that you cant drive out of state unless your 18 (have your senior license). at least i think so |
I don't believe so, not for New Jersey Licenses anyway  . You're allowed to drive out of state with those I believe. When you are 17 years old (in NJ) you just aren't allowed to drive between Midnight and 5am (around 4-5 im not sure exactly) and you can only have one non-family member in the car with you while you are driving. I am almost positive you can drive out of state.

but wouldnt it interfere with other state laws if you drove through them to get to the bonnaroo? cause i am in PA, and if you had to drive through there to get to Tennessee, then I would assume youd have to abide by their laws. |

Ohh shi... |
I wouldnt wanna do anything that dealt with the parking at Bonnaroo. What a mess, parking destroyed the whole Coventry festival in August.
|
Here are the confirmed artists that will be at Bonnaroo this year:
Widespread Panic (2 shows) Dave Matthews Band The Allman Brothers Band Jack Johnson Alison Krauss & Union Station Modest Mouse Gov't Mule Bela Fleck Acoustic Trio The Mars Volta John Prine Yonder Mountain String Band My Morning Jacket Keller Williams STS9 Earl Scruggs & Friends Joss Stone O.A.R. Toots and the Maytals Umphrey's McGee Iron & Wine Ozomatli Rilo Kiley Karl Denson's Tiny Universe Drive-By Truckers Particle Joanna Newsom Xavier Rudd Ray LaMontagne The Gourds Secret Machines Donna The Buffalo John Butler Trio Ollabelle Citizen Cope Brazilian Girls M. Ward Madeleine Peyroux |
That's quite a line-up. I've only seen about 5 people on that list tho.
(ABB, Panic, DMB, Soundtribe Sector 9, and Toots) BTW Gov't Mule is coming to a venue very close to me, tickets aren't sold out yet, but they cost $80 ;( I dunno if I wanna dish out that much to see them when I'm gonna be seeing them at Bonnaroo. |
i cant believe neither moe. or trey are going to be at bonaroo

My friend only paid $20 to see them in Philly, and he managed to get Warren Hayne's guitar pick after he threw it out to the crowd (just a sidenote). |
