well that's tha vibe ah get! |
idk you do hate hard on metal bands that are more mainstream for dumb reasons
i hate on shitty metal bands for good reasons. i dislike a lot of underground bands just as much as mainstream ones and i listen to mainstream music so i really think you guys have no idea. and no i haven't listened to animosity, i dont think that was me. |
oh yeah, that was me mappy
can't wait for the new panopticon to come out btw |
yeah that should be good
|
he's putting two albums out this year
|
he's working really hard
did you guys hear about the new Seidr full length coming out (lunn's death/doom band for those who don;t know) the preorder for the CD was put up a few weeks ago, i put my order in asap |
yeah, according to his fb updates he already has one finished
"Well....looks like there will be 2 new panopticon full lengths this year. One that is very dark and grim (95% done) and one that is very folky and melodic (75%) done...both nearly an hour long." |
yeah haha his fb updates are where i get all my panopticon info too. i keep meaning to check out some of the bands that he produces and endorses on there and stuff but i have yet to get around to it.
|
Check out Seidr, that shit rules.
I was going to pre-order the LP but I had no money at the time, I'm just going to leech of some mediafire link probably. It should be good. |
Well, I'm off to see Pale Chalice, Aseethe, and Sutekh Hexen, at Hemlock, SF. Nothing like a room full of 95% Metal guys!! (Hee...) I know you guys hope I survive, and everything...haha.
No, this is show is not in Oakland, so it's not that bad. Volahn playing in a week, again in Oakland, though. God, I want to go to that one so bad. Maybe will get someone to take me to that one. Cheers, all... |
goddamn it, stop posting
|
you should get in touch with fatalenergy i'm sure he'd love to take you to volahn and all sorts of other places
|
So I never bothered checking out any of Endstille's other albums once I got Navigator, because I wanted to properly absorb it, so to speak. But now I'd like to hear some more stuff by them, so what album should I listen to next?
|
Thanks...that was the first one I did, actually. I probably should have stopped while I was ahead, lol
shopped* /lame joke |
yeah, according to his fb updates he already has one finished
goddamn it, stop posting
Stop posting? Before yesterday I had not posted in quite a while. I try to give you a break from whatever it is that's so fucking annoying about me. Whatever, dude... Anyway, Pale Chalice was pretty damn awesome, last night. Sutekh Hexen was too loud, but sounded pretty good from the other room, ha. I mean, they were ear splitting loud! Even the low tones about broke your head open. Pale Chalice brilliant, though. The singer and the bass player have a way of looking at you and looking right through you when they're playing. I have to say I really underestimated my girls. There were easily as many women there as there were men. I was amazed. I met an interesting female drummer, to. She's like way younger and prettier than me, lol. I said I didn't want any other females in my band, but I think I ended up changing my mind about that. She has a lot of enthusiasm. I thought I was cornering the market on female Black Metal enthusiasm, but apparently not... Well, anyway, I just got to say thanks, Nepenthe, for putting up with me, lately...hee... Cheers... |
oh yeah no problem don't listen to rasputin he's a brat with an underground complex and a 27 day long period keep the posts and photos comin we all love them down here
|

Any of them. My favorite is Frühlingserwachen. I'd recommend going with Dominanz after Navigator though if you really liked that one. Just get all of them honestly. |
i actually like endstille
|
listenin to new altar of plagues. its ok so far. also, one of the most boring live bands ever
|
hah no way dude they were amazing when i saw them. course i drank 2 four lokos before i got there and then chugged jim beam with them before the show so i don't remember a whole lot, but they were fuckin great. as was velnias.
what kinda venue you see them in? i could see how they might be boring on a normal stage, where i saw them was basically a converted house, so they were just like 3 feet in front of me at eye level and shit. was amazing, they pretty much did it perfectly, even all the atmospheric parts. |
yeah i saw them when they toured with velnias and i thought both were kinda snorin. the venue they played isn't a large one by any means. it mostly just has like lesser to somewhat known hardcore bands. they played on the floor and it was kind of cool i guess (can't remember which band had the candles n shit out). i was probably 3 feet away as well. i was mostly just waiting for thou to play tho
|
idk i really enjoyed them, thought they had a really good crushing sound and like i said, executed even the atmospheric parts exactly how they sound on album. they both had candles at the dallas show.
shit i wish thou was there in dallas that would've easily been best show ever |
what's thou like live?
|
im assuming would grush
|
thou's been pretty fuckin intense and heavy the two times that i've seen them.
|
so am i but the implications of assumptions implicate incorrections.
