Guess who saw Chuck D with 7th octave playing together?

shane italian 08-05-2005 04:25 PM

Smoking age in England seems nicer too.

sketchyjoe 08-05-2005 04:54 PM

And age of consent.

shane italian 08-05-2005 05:02 PM

But hardcore sucks out there and the weather is s'hit.

sketchyjoe 08-05-2005 05:04 PM

Yes, the weather is shit.

J_McMeaty 08-05-2005 05:06 PM

Loves me some underage legal drinking in England.

guns_of_brixton 08-05-2005 05:18 PM

Yea. You can get drafted at age 18, yet you can't buy a beer. The government is to controllive when it comes to having to wear a seatbelt/smoking/drinking/and even drugs.

RetiredAt21 08-05-2005 05:26 PM

Where can I obtain some beetroot?

Bruce_Forsyth 08-05-2005 05:59 PM

Just got back from active minds gig, they were excellent, but never knew two people could make so much noise (in a good way)

Sorry to blow in here, I'm new. I've been wanting to sign up to these forums for about 1 and a half years, but due to extensive email problems (confirmation emails of registration were never sent to me by mx, so I kept making multiple new hotmail accounts) I haven't been able to.

Anyway my name's Nick and I'm from Sydney in Australia.

Hello!

You were gone?

Anxious 08-05-2005 07:37 PM

I went to San Diego.

Rise Me Up 08-05-2005 07:38 PM
I went to San Diego.
Did you have fun?

Anxious 08-05-2005 07:46 PM

It was ok. I felt like I was being used though, San Diego is proably the biggest tourist trap in the world. There was so much useless stuff pushed at you to buy.

Oh. Was it just vacation?

Anxious 08-05-2005 07:53 PM

Yeah it was just vacation. Sea World.

Brain Toad 08-05-2005 07:56 PM

Imagine having to live in a place like that. Except Vallejo isn't that bad, but we do have tourists and they piss me off.

Rise Me Up 08-05-2005 07:58 PM

I can imagine how the would piss people off. What do you get tourist for in Vallejo?

Brain Toad 08-05-2005 08:05 PM

Six Flags Marine World.

They come for the park, crowd up the freeway and the streets, then don't buy anything from any of the stores here.

Rise Me Up 08-05-2005 08:12 PM

We have tourist that visit The Smoky Mountains and make fun of people's accents.

shane italian 08-05-2005 08:12 PM

Orange County sucks balls. Mad tourists (Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland) that don't know how to drive around here clogging up the freeways and crowding up the beaches. Then we have traffice even when there are no tourists. It takes so long just to get from my house to the supermarket and back sometimes. We went out to eat today and we had to goto 3 different places because the first 2 didn't have any parking.

Become the Hitler of Orange County and start killin the bastards.

Brain Toad 08-05-2005 08:15 PM

At least Orange County makes money from all those tourists. The ones who come here don't stay in hotels (we don't have many to begin with), rarely eat at out restraunts and rarely buy stuff from our stores, so the only real income we get is property tax for Marine World and some ticket revenue. And it'll be even less when Six Flags buys it completely.

shane italian 08-05-2005 08:16 PM

Why bother? I'm moving next year.

If anyone wants to know why it's so crowded here, I will answer that. Mexicans and Asians are the two groups of people who reproduce the fastest and have no mercy when it comes to overpopulation. Here in the OC, we are flooded with both.

What's funny about Orange County is that the city's with the tourist attractions don't seem to be getting much money out of it...and if they are none of the money is going to city use. Anaheim (Disneyland) is pretty crappy and full of crime, the city isn't really kept up with at all...especially around Disneyland. Buena Park (Knott's Berry Farm) is basically the same as Anaheim except a smaller city. Huntington Beach is nice around the Pier and Main St., but other than that it's a dirty crowded place that sucks if you're looking for something upscale. I like Huntington though, it's awesome to hang out at, cool people too.

gastery6 08-05-2005 08:22 PM

I live in ****ty Canada. All I got is Canadas wonderland.

I've noticed that with tourist attraction towns when I'm down there. The surronding areas get big, because its cheaper to stay there. San Bernidino was nicer then the some of the other towns when I would go down for the races in Fontana. And Hollywood was a huge scuzzpit when I went there.

Tourists ravagae a town, I hate it. Thats why I want to move to Pleasant Hill or another area in Contra Costa county, no tourist attractions, nicer people and area.

Anxious 08-05-2005 08:26 PM

Living in the Suburbs is so much better than living in the big city. For reasons already mentioned in this thread.

Rise Me Up 08-05-2005 08:27 PM

*Free health Care

*Less chance of being bombed

*Lower Crime Rate

'nuff said.

Funny thing is, Vallejo is more of a suburb then say San Francisco, nearly all of the Bay Area are suburbs of San Francisco, with some of the smaller towns being subsuburbs of the larger suburbs, like Oakland. It's insanly odd over here. But I wouldn't live anywhere else, personally. Except maybe Canada.

Cliche Guevara 08-05-2005 08:29 PM

I'm still trying to find out how exactly to quote, but yeah my story is pretty much the same as Nick's from Sydney, cept I'm Meghan from Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
