Hey Schyma can you post "Hat & Beard"? I can't download music on my computer anymore unless it's posted from yousendit or some similar site.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 07-20-2005 02:59 PM

I've never been able to use yousendit.com before but I'll give it a try.

Lunch 07-20-2005 03:13 PM

Bitches Brew would most likely be on mine as well.

That's awesome I'd love to see April Wine. They are the best band that plays gigs where I live, usually all the really good bands go to Saskatoon instead of Regina. They come to Regina quite often, although they always play at the Casino and I'm not old enough to get in. What festival are you going to?

It's not one show, it's 4 days and there ALOT more bands I just dont feel like listing them all. David Wilcox will also be there.,

Woodstock 07-20-2005 03:38 PM

I listened to the first side of Bitches Brew and didn't think much of it. Maybe the second is better.

jpj 07-20-2005 04:07 PM

Miles Davis is awesome. Bitches Brew and In a Silent Way are my favorites, though I'm sure there are others that I would like more, I just haven't heard them. He along with other jazz musicians have huge discographies.

Woodstock 07-20-2005 04:09 PM

In A Silent Way is my favorite by him. I only have one Coltrane album, Giant Steps, and I want A Love Supreme.

Lunch 07-20-2005 04:34 PM

I just got Before I Get Old, a biography on The Who. Looks pretty good.

Post count: 6,666.

You guys don't know me much but I'm a big fan of all Classic Rock, so here's my top 5 albums with a couple honourable mentions!

1. Led Zeppelin II
2. The Who - Who's Next
3. Cream - Wheels of Fire
4. Led Zeppelin IV
5. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
HM: Led Zep - Houses of the Holy, The Doors - The Doors, The Who - Tommy, Millencolin - Same Old Tunes (probably the only pop punk band I actually like, in fact adore)

Don't get too mainstream for us.

Lunch 07-20-2005 05:57 PM

Most if not all of my list was pretty mainstream.

Edit: Here are just some of my favorite records, cause I left some off earlier.
The Who: Tommy, Live at Leeds, Sell Out
LZ - I, II
Dead - Workingman's Dead, Closing of Winterland
ABB - Eat a Peach, Live at the Fillmore
Pink Floyd - Animals, WYWH
The Doors - S/t
Spirit - 12 Dreams
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Cream - Wheels of Fire, Disraeli Gears
Beatles - White Album
Hendrix - Are You Experienced?
Jefferson Airplane - Surrealisitc Pillow, Volunteers
Dylan - Highway 61
The Byrds - Fifth Dimension
The Kinks - Lola

I'm not very good at narrowing things down.

BludgeonySteve 07-20-2005 05:58 PM

Everyone knows Electric Ladyland beats the crap out of Are You Experienced?

Glitterati 07-20-2005 06:02 PM
Everyone knows Electric Ladyland beats the crap out of Are You Experienced?
That's what I hear. All I've heard off of it is All Along The Watchtower, which owns.

Lunch 07-20-2005 06:03 PM

I prefer Are You Experienced? More of a raw, live sound, which I think is where Hendrix really shines. I never liked the polished refined sound of EL as much.

PureAndEasy 07-20-2005 06:05 PM

Band of Gypsys owns any of Hendrix's other stuff. I love the wah on Changes.

And I'm too lazy to do my favorite albums, plus I suck at narrowing things down.

jpj 07-20-2005 06:12 PM

I think I like AYE? better. Looking at the track list, it could easily pass as a greatest hits. Though, Electric Ladyland owns pretty hard.

NP: The Flaming Lips-One More Robot/Symphony 3000-21

Yes! I've finally gotten into Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots!

Yeah, its mainstream, but it kicks ***....you got Tommy and Wheels of Fire on there, which kicks ultra ***.

Are we doing a 5 favorite album thing or something? Here is a list of mine:

1. Abbey Road (Beatles)
2. Aqualung (Jethro Tull)
3. In Rock (Deep Purple)
4. Who's Next (The WHo)
5. White Album (Beatles)

Who cares if thats mainstream, it owns.

JonG 07-20-2005 06:41 PM

Mine would be real hard to choose.

Abbey Road
Sgt. Peppers
Workingman's Dead
NRPS self titled
Fifth Dimension
Blood on the Tracks
Highway 61 Revisited

Ride The Lightning(oh noes)
Kill 'Em All(oh noes)
