Haha, alright.

Woodstock 12-23-2005 09:58 PM

Okay, Sly & The Family Stone - Stand!. Cool?

JonG 12-23-2005 10:00 PM

Alright.

I'll get it up after the 2 Dylan albums.

Krabsworth 12-24-2005 12:41 AM

WOW. I'm really excited with what I just heard. The John Mayer Trio played Hendrix's,"Wait Until Tomorrow," and it was simply awesome, he played a full on solo that was really impressive. I'm definately picking up the John Mayer Trio album.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 12-24-2005 02:12 AM

^Can't wait to hear it. Has anyone else heard his new album?

So I just saw a bar fight....it was interesting to say the least. This prick beat the hell out of this fat dude for like no reason. It was actualy pretty funny.....

When my rep button works again remind me to rep you, JonG. Thank you very much. :)

Wow, it seems like a million years ago since I posted here ...

Hahaha, well, now I'm playing bass and was wondering if you guys had any recomendation on some good ol' bass players, you know, point out albums, or better yet, songs in specific. I will appreciate it ! =D

Woodstock 12-24-2005 12:44 PM

Paul Butterfield Blues Band - East-West and Can - Future Days on the way for everyone. Merry Christmahanakwanzakah.

John Entwistle, on pretty much anything, especially from Quadraphinia (The Real Me is the best of 'em.) Chris Squire, especially on Heart of the Sunrise, Roundabout, and Long Distance Runaround. Geddy Lee on The Analog Kid, YYZ, and 2112. Just a few off the top of my head.

JonG 12-24-2005 01:20 PM

Alright, sorry 'stock I didn't get a chance to get it up last night. I will right now though.

Download Blind Man in the Dark by Gov't Mule, some Victor Wooten, Bouree by Jethro Tull, and some newer ABB stuff to hear Oteil Burbridge, or his solo stuff, or Aquarium Rescue Unit.

I got to open a Christmas present early. It was Cheap Thrills (Janis Joplin) and Black & White 2.

I also figured out what kind of bass I'm getting. Schecter Stiletto Studio 5 String. I won't even get until January though :(

Cheap Thrills is great, one of my favorite albums.

slowhand 12-24-2005 01:34 PM

Thank you thank you.

=D

JonG 12-24-2005 01:47 PM

Frank Zappa - Cheap Thrills?

:p

I'm not much into Janis to say the least. Or any females vocals besides Nico and Grace Slick :\

Meh, I love Janis. Stevie Nicks is by far one of the worst vocalists ever (female or not.) Honestly, I don't know how anybody can put up with Fleetwood Mac.

JonG 12-24-2005 01:56 PM

Sent out Stand!

Os Mutantes please, and if you have time, West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band.

Lunch 12-24-2005 02:25 PM

I'll do Os Mutanis and WCPAEB first since less people have them. And as long as YSI cooperates.

Ok, OM should've been sent out.
