You were excited to read that?

EDIT: TO Curt CObain journal reader

Anyway, the moon landing did happen. I'm an avid space supporter myself, and I love Space Oddity. Its epic, and really cool.

Leper 07-20-2005 12:38 AM

very. I'm a devoted Nirvana fan. I loved reading about Kurt's point of view on many things, whether i agreed or not, he always had an interesting view. There's also some amusing stories in it. Some are really depressing though.
It was the first time i can remember actually being excited to read a book since i got Kurt Cobain-Journals
Anyways, I am currently operating on a 56k modem until SBC sends me another fricken modem. While I wait, i'll listen to Mountain Jam, which will conclude just around the time my new DSL modem gets here, in 3-5 business days.

CockeyedMaverik 07-20-2005 01:57 AM

i used to think that any1 who read them were being ridiculous so i read the first one to get some ammo but i liked it and ive liked every single one since.

I don't know why but I've decided to list my top five favorite albums:

Top 5 Favorite Rock Albums

3. Revolver - THe Beatles

I'm on Chapter 18. Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow.

Schyma-Wish You Were Here is the only one that has a chance at my top five. Revolver and PATGOD maybe top 20. I'm not sure about AB becaus I still have mixed feelings about it, haven't even heard Doors' s/t.

RockAndRoll 07-20-2005 09:12 AM

I couldn't make a top 5, I just know that Tommy is at the top.

jpj 07-20-2005 10:59 AM

My top 5 albums
--------------------------------------------
1. The Allman Brothers Band-Eat a Peach
2. The Grateful Dead-Workingman's Dead
3. Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon
4. Led Zeppelin-II
5. Pink Floyd-Animals
--------------------------------------------

I'm still not entirely sure about the order, I just know Eat a Peach is first.

Others I considered: Born on the Wrong Planet, No Doy, WYWH, Sticky Fingers, Deep End Vol. 1

Lunch 07-20-2005 11:11 AM

Here is a very rough copy:

The Who - Tommy
Led Zeppelin - I
Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead
The Who - Live at Leeds
Pink Floyd - Animals

Other contenders include: The Who Sell Out, Doors s/t, WYWH, Europe 72, White Album, Wheels of Fire, Eat a Peach, Highway 61 Revisted.

Honorable mentions: Idlewild South, Highway 61 Revisited, Workingman's Dead, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Jimi Hendrix - Axis Bold As Love

Glitterati 07-20-2005 01:21 PM

I've tried to do a top five many a time, never worked out.

rockinbass17 07-20-2005 01:25 PM

My top five would probably include Quadrophenia, The White Albim, 2112, Frances the Mute, and Bad Company s/t. But it changes every day.

Broken Arrow 07-20-2005 01:31 PM

This is hard so here are some I'd put in-

Nick Drake-Pink Moon
Neil Young-On the Beach
Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here
Led Zeppelin-II
Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon
The Beatles-Abbey Road
Jimi Hendrix Experience-Electric Ladyland

Thats in no order.

Xanadu 07-20-2005 01:34 PM

i do not have a top 5 but recently ive been listining to Rush, Yes, Boston, Jethro Tull, and U2

thickasabrick 07-20-2005 02:15 PM

Well I'm sure mine changes quite often, but for right now I'd say...

Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
The Doors - Strange Days
Cream - Disraeli Gears
Neil Young and Crazyhorse - Everybody Knows This is Nowhere

Yeah that sounds about right. If I could make a top ten list, it would probably include another album by each of those artists, along with some Bob Marley.

Badmoon 07-20-2005 02:31 PM

Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead
Johnny Cash - American II: Unchained
Calexico - Convict Pool [EP]
Dr. John - Gris-gris
Grateful Dead - Europe '72

That list may be slightly outdated though.

Broken Arrow 07-20-2005 02:42 PM
This is hard so here are some I'd put in-

Those plus:

Neil Young-Everybody Knows This is No Where
Love-Forever Changes
Quicksilver Messenger Service-Happy Trails

Thats a top 10.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 07-20-2005 02:54 PM

*Started trend*

If it was all genres A Love Supreme, Bitches Brew and (possibly) Straight, No Chaser would also be on there.
