My mom's real annoying. I was in my room reading, and she comes in and starts cleaning my shelves off, throwing out half of my stuff (granted, most of it's useless, but I've been keeping it anyways) and making a whole bunch of noise. I tell her I'm reading, and that it's tough to read when someone's vaccuuming and crinkling for 10 minutes straight. She tells me I don't have to read right now, I can wait until later to read.

I got a new solo to learn.

I like it. It's Bernhard Heiden's Sonata for E Flat saxophone. The second movement is lovely and in 2/2. I've mostly done baroque music before. I don't do too well on modern stuff. I think I'm a lot better at baroque Bach and Fasch than I am anything else, but eh.

Why the hell would someone write something in 2/2???

Seriously, just use 2/4 and change the tempo; way easier to read.

God my room is crammed now. I've got enough room to take about 4 or 5 steps in there. I'm going to have to take my keyboard and guitars/amp out of there and into the freezing cold basement. :( That sucks. Oh well, my new bed's super comfy.

It's easier to read in 2/2.

Everything is quarter, half, and eighth notes. If it were 2/4, the page would be way more cluttered and annoying to read. I just can't count it out loud with out thinking first.
