Actual users of the subforums such as R&M, Punk, Alt & Indie and such will probably get recognized...

And all the pit rats (as pointless users in the pit) won't be able to get stars, well at least for quite some time...unless they are friends some how with a starred user or something.

The only downside is that you can't keep people can't be kept away from a stupid thread by letting them know they will be neg repped. But, other than that, it is much better like this.

Agreed. It will simply be nice to gain recognition for good posts. I would enjoy that very much...it's a return to what rep is meant for. I agree with your estimation of rep, but my opinion is that rep BECAME meaningless, and with these changes, it will become more meaningFUL. As long as the mods don't have a weakness for suck-ups, that is.

Everyone is back at zero rep. Only mods can rep, therefore any people with stars will theoretically be the ones truly deemed to be helpful and responsible. Starred users are also the only ones that would have access to the rep system.

But i did just watch Blue Gender 1-3, and i am now so scared of possible creature invasion. Not alien, creature, the blue on that show are so ****ing scary, the most gruesome anime deaths ever....

I had 6,000 but I got 3,000 from here. The whole system got messed up about two weeks after it started.

Yeah. This also might help weed out the lesser users, who are obviously inferior. You know, the ones that don't offer anything to the forums. I think this because if more attention is being paid to the content of posts, spam will be less of a problem, and it'll eventually make bad users obvious. Those who contribute will all be able to rep, and those who are inferior won't, and it will probably lead to them being added to many users ignore lists. Truely wise.

Well im never going to get stars back. Oh well. The mod thing is a pretty good idea, but witty witty NCP is no doubt going to abuse the privalage, as he does with all of his mod privalages.

I post mostly in this forum. Most of the other forums don't interest me very much, so I'm not going to start posting everywhere else just to try and get stars.

As long as being a Pit regular isn't a pre-requisite for being a respected user we should be fine. Everybody's got their own community, after-all: site-wide respect isn't such an important thing.

Yes, I came here to disscuss music. The old rep system almost changed that. Hopefully mx will be able to be back to the way it was before rep.
