Haha Aaron, Poser.

But looks cool. Sorta looks like your current set, with just a bunch of **** added.

Aaron 09-26-2006 09:08 PM

Quinto 09-26-2006 09:10 PM

pretty cool arron, are the drums going to be upgraded.

i have everything for my set that i want atm, 2 crashes, 1 ride, and hihats, with an 8,10,14 configuration.

i just wrote down my christmas list, and i want over $500 in books for the drums.

We_Love_Lime 09-26-2006 09:16 PM

Nice with the 8,10, 14 config.

Tomorrow I'm getting a shaker, windchimes, a groove wedge, and a cymbal stand.

Hopefully all for under 100 bucks.

Aaron 09-26-2006 09:16 PM

Not for a long while. I've decided to buy an apartment instead and use my kit savings as the deposit. Trust me, a hard decision to make, but a better one in the long run.

Quinto 09-26-2006 09:21 PM

i want a tamborine really badly.

i agree with ur decision.

Aaron 09-26-2006 09:23 PM

get a hat-trick. i got one last week and they're awesome. you can play them with sticks if you put them upside down. p.s. cheers for the support, im only 20 so im scared! lol

Credit cards and credit in general are excellent tools if you use them responsibly.

Josiah 09-26-2006 09:40 PM

Yes, that is true. It's the "use responsibly" that is the hard part.

Electric Requiem 09-26-2006 09:41 PM

If it was easy they wouldnt make any money.

fishbulb 09-26-2006 09:42 PM

So, how exactly do you "ask a girl out"? Do you say, "do you want to go out?"? Or is it just implied that you want to be boy/girlfriends?

I'm a little slow on the dating scene.

stevensonmat2 09-26-2006 09:42 PM

Show her your package.

White Riot! 09-26-2006 09:49 PM

just ask to go somewhere ..... would you go to the movies with me etc.

simple as that , the more you try to add to it , the worse

Sync0pation 09-26-2006 09:52 PM

Yeah. make sure your casual about it, dont make it seem like a formal thing. be like "hey i'm free this friday you up for a movie?" or something along those lines. Just seem confident.

Josiah 09-26-2006 09:55 PM

Start a casual conversation first, never just sprint up and pop the question (I thought that was fairly obvious untill I saw someone do it) its good to have them laughing or at least smiling first, then bring it up as and afterthought when you are walking away....

as for the actual sentence, it depends on how old you are and what you are asking.

fishbulb 09-26-2006 09:57 PM

So, say i have somebody in mind who i'd at least want to hang out with. How would i get started on her? She's in 2 of my classes, but i've never talked to her. After class should i just ask her about something school related, then slowly move into something outside of school?

Sync0pation 09-26-2006 10:06 PM

Ohh you've never talked her. That's a prob, try to start some kind of relationship there first. I'm not sure how old you are, but in general don't be too nice and predictable. Tease her a bit and be a little unpredictable. She will feel attracted to you (doesnt make much sense). Maybe wait 2 days or something of talking to her (depends on girl), so she knows who you are and a bit about her. Yeah after school, don't talk about something school related, that's boring. If you want to ask her going to movies, maybe talk about some new movie that came out. Then pop the question in between two toughts or something, so its not like it was premediated. The question just came to you as you were talking.

Dont worry about it dude you are drummer you already have an advantage

At least you are not friends with her, after you are good friends with a girl italmost never moves on to the next stage.

Josiah 09-26-2006 10:07 PM

Just go..

Hey, i'm *******, I like the way you walk, it's a lil different then most other girls. Wanna join me for some mini golfa lil later?

But hey, if your good looking, then you really dont need anything else.

Sync0pation 09-26-2006 10:10 PM

True in most cases.

But if you're not (lol), don't worry, attraction comes from other things too,

fishbulb 09-26-2006 10:11 PM

Don't know if i'm good looking.

Josiah 09-26-2006 10:12 PM

it's all in the delievery.

Yea. But if she's in two of your classes and you've never talked to her, she knows who you are but doesnt know you. if that makes any sense

Win A Rabbit 09-26-2006 10:54 PM

I just got home from my friend's girlfriend's house. We just heard she got in a car accident yesterday (Huge accident to be specific. She only broke a collarbone and got a concussion, but she got t-boned driver's side by a semi and got flipped a couple times, was dangling upside down in her seatbelt passed out for a couple minutes) and we all went over there and consoled her for a while. She wanted us to write something on her door, and everyone wrote something generic ("Get Well Soon. I'm thinking about you.", etc.) but mine was so awesome. Made me feel like a great friend.

Sync0pation 09-26-2006 10:57 PM

What did you write.

Futuro 09-26-2006 10:59 PM
What did you write.
"I left you a T-bone in the freezer."

Win A Rabbit 09-26-2006 11:06 PM

I wrote it in the bottom corner of the door, where she can't get at because one arm's all wrapped up against her chest, and she can't even sit up in her bed.

Something along these lines, not word for word.

"I hope you didn't go through the trouble of getting down on the ground to read this, *her name*. Either way, I'm honoured that you took the time to read it yourself or got someone to read it for you. Say thanks to the person who is reading this to you now, and if it's you reading it, well I'm glad you're better. *heart* Liam."

'lo Hold.

Isn't it awesome when you realize that an 8-page report done in MLA formatting is actually really short?
'lo Hold.

Isn't it awesome when you realize that an 8-page report done in MLA formatting is actually really short?
yeah. People always fret so much about "how many pages does it have to be?"

Every single time I've written a report, without even trying, its usually way longer then the requirement. When I was in grade school and even a little bit in middle school, I had to cut things out of my reports because they were TOO long.

Sunshine 09-26-2006 11:57 PM

Heh.

Well, for college I have to do an 8 page report on the question "What Is Good Writing?"

And no opinion. All "fact," it's a research paper [on, basically, an opinion...far as I'm concerned, anyway].

And at first it was like. Damn. I have to figure out how to stretch "Good writing is subjective" into an 8-page paper [as in, 8 full pages, as in, 7 and 9/10ths is too short] without stating a bunch of opinion.

And then I realized that MLA formatting is double spaced and size 12. This'll be short.

Seafroggys 09-27-2006 12:43 AM

Yeah, but your in college. You can usually battle the professor and call out on his/her ideas and such. Its not like high school where you have to do what they say or else.

I would totally take it up on her, publically in class, and state that good writing is maybe not entirely subjective (liking leetspeak doesn't make it good writing) but a good chunk of it is. Then your paper can compare and constrast what is subjective and what is objective.

Then again, from what you're saying, you are doing this already, which is good. I just would have called out on the teacher in the middle of class. It would have been fun.

And you only just started learning the MLA format? I had to use since I was in Middle School

Cocaberry 09-27-2006 12:50 AM

Haha, I've never used the MLA format before and I just started college. None of my teachers ever required that format for papers in high school or middle school.

If someone can tell me the meaning of life(or a guestimate), I will hand write a letter and ship it to your house along with a broken piece of drumhead.

If someone cannot tell me the meaning of life, im going to unplug my internet forever.

You have 1 min.
