unfortunately i have to sell a pair of Metallica tickets for Dublin on June 11th, i cannot go due to flight times. This concert is for Metallica and 6 other support acts: Ten Years, A7X, Korn, Bloodsimple, AIC, Stone Sour.

Bit naive from Venom to say that. Without Metallica where would metal be today? If they are judging them because of Black,Load,St Anger then f*ck them thats called progression, advancing as a musician, exploring new depths of music. There's no band on this planet who can play thrash metal songs live better than Metallica ok maybe Slayer or Sepultura are at there ranks but jesus how can you top the stage presense Metallica has.

Anyway, Cronos probably only slates Metallica to stay kvlt and all that crap.

the black album was unbelievable as was master of puppets but i cant help wondering if they are past there peak and should give it up....after all st anger was absolutely terrible.....radioheads "pablo honey" was a better album and thats saying something because that was worth about 5 cents....

are they done?
or will there upcoming album take us back to the glory days

The next album won't do that. They've proved album after album that they have no intention of going back to write the same kind of music that they used to. I don't mind. I mean, look at AJFA. The songs were long and (at times), boring (compared with MOP, anyway). How can you expect them to write [I]another[/I] MOP or AJFA?

Metallicas next album will be good, I can feel it. With Rob on board they are gonna prove to the world that they still rock.

It's been said many times and they are obviously past their best.
I don't think we'll ever see a return to MOP but the new album sounds promising.

people underrated Load so much, I think its one of their best records, after KEA, RTL, MOP, AJFA and maybe Black :rolleyes:

So it's 6th best?

Metallica, along with every other Thrash band owe a hell of alot to Venom's early albums.

Even if Cronos is a satanist, that means he's an atheist, therefore not believing in or worshipping Satan. Excuse me if this is wrong. But from what I've understood that Satanism is just the name to piss off Christians.

Then, Buried Alive inspired James and Lar to write One. But the lyrics were inspired by [U]Johnny Got His Gun[/U]. Damn, I love that book.

Why do bands have to talk **** to another band? wtf. I don't recall metallica bagging on some band. It's so childish and dumb. It's fine when zakk wylde flames fred durst, or somebody like that, who's just a wannabe and an untalented musician overall, but ugh, it sucks when they're doing this to metallica. Same thing when Bruce said Manowar was a sad excuse of a band. Wtf. That pissed me off. Imagine being told you suck by the band that influenced you. :upset:

i paid £120 for the pair and am selling them for between £90 and £100, flights to Dublin (if needed) are £4.99 there and £14.99 back (ish) thats with Ryanair, from either Heathrow or London Luton.

PS has anyone heard of the new album? i heard on the radio that they have written 15 songs, they have a new producer, its coming out in '07, and they had a good time writing it...

It's pretty cool my local radio station is playing Metallica all memorial weekend...like every other song is a tallica song.
