i was mostly saying jhw is more hardcore, it sounds really black flag-ish at parts. nf is pretty emotional id say. the singer does kind of cry at the end of haloed eyes.

"Haloed Eyes" is generally considered the best emo song ever along with "Angry Son" by Indian Summer. crying is a necessity!

two bands that aren't on my blog that you should definitely check out if you like NF and JHW are Admiral and Ache Hour Credo. really great bands with the same sort of vibe. Admiral's Revolving and Loading is a top notch 7".

the pine rules

The Pine kind of reminds me of Alcest is some ways, they both have that floaty/dreamy atmosphere while still being completely different.
