I think all of blinks older songs are better musically........well i should say instrumentally they have better ideas then and the leads are fast and good. The newer songs have better structure and the vox are just so much better! But i hope tom shows some of his his guitar skills in AVA

The old songs to me just seemed badly put together for the most part. It's like each song had a ton of great ideas, but they weren't put together right. It's like having the worlds coolest looking puzzle..and just smashing the pieces into the wrong spots.

Their newer stuff isn't like that. It's more so Great Puzzle, Put together almost perfectly.

Yeah, but if only they could have taken those old ideas and placed them in teh right structure........instead of those extrmely long guitar intros witht he lead part that went on forever.........they could have turned some of those things into amzing bridges and outros and what not.........new stuff its like almost everything is perfect. the song structure is good but those old ideas *especially* the guitar leads arent there anymore but thank god for better vox haha!!! I laugh when lsitening to the song strings.....the vox in that song are pretty bad

The Buddha version of Strings makes my ears bleed. The Cheshire Cat version is okay.

I'm not a fan of Strings, but I do love Ben Wah Balls.

Last year there was this guy named Ben at our school, and everyone used to say "Wah Ben." Then they heard the song Ben Wah Balls, and made a movie and used that as the soundtrack. It was so stupid. But funny.

dumpweed is the longest intro that i can think of right now, and thats not even old. They don't tend to have long intros, its just that alot of blink's stuff takes a while for the verse to kick in, like josie and that.

u have to listen closley to the chesire cat songs......all of them have really fast leads behind the chord intros but its hard to hear cause they didnt mix that album very well. Im at school, im trying to think of some of the osngs that go on forever with some of the leads behind it.....i cant think of any that reallys tic out now but jsut about all of them have leads behind the chords! just listen, if i remeber ill see which one has a really ond one when i get home

Yeah the old songs did have long intros (some of them) but I liked them. Yeah I said a few weeks ago Ben Wah Balls was a great song. So is Online Songs. These are 2 great songs that they never really played live and no-one really gave a lot of credit for, but are great songs.

There shouldn't be. It just seems that there is a tendancy for people to think everyone who listens to Blink are little 12-13 year old girls who think that there punk because they listen to them.

Too True. I Agree 100%. Online Songs is an amazing song, as is Ben Wah Balls (Although it's more so a joke song).

It all depends on your personality, if a 11 year old boy hears a song called 'Blow Job' or hears 'Family Reunion' they are going to find it really amusing, Blink does appeal to young people quite alot because of the humour. But then again it also appeals to some older people, cos they like the music and the humour and stuff (tends to be people that act younger), but some older people just think that Blink are a bunch of immature twats, it depends on what you think of their style. One thing I think we can all be sure of is- no parents are really that fond of Blink.

I'm kinda like that. When I was like 12-13 I liked Blink mostly because of their sound and how catchy they were. I also liked the fact they could go and dick around and do funny **** without really getting in too much sh[I]i[/I]t.

I really do think Blink should come out with a DVD package type thing. Have A DVD with a show from the beggining, middle and end of their time as Blink and then another DVD of all the funniest things they've done. Basicly just them dicking around.

Yeah, I just don't think it's one of their better songs. I don't hate it or anything, there's not one song by Blink-182 that I hate. My favorite four songs on that album are the following:

1. M+M's
2. Carousel
3. Wasting Time
4. Peggy Sue

i got it from mainstreet music in greensborough.. i play it through a ashton 150 watt head and a 4x10 cab... but in the recording through a pod set at svt pro head and a 8x10 cab.

and yes i agree greatest hit was a waste but uno i have all the albums now

I honestly don't like many songs on Chesire Cat. Like I said before the songs seemed to be badly put together for the most part. A few songs are awesome but other than that it's a fairly crappy album.
