I was hoping some one would remember that. Me and Untitled and a couple of others were supposed to meet up at that concert. I never saw them. I don't think? I don't really like this thread any more. It's no where as good as it used to be and I think some of the you who remember what it was like would agree. Now all it is is a place to talk about all of the side projects that are going on and how great blink "USED" to be. Honestly I think blink in over. As much as I hate to say it. I recall an interview with mark and tom where they asked them about a GH album and they just laughed and said that they would put out a GH when they where all dryed up and out ****ty *** booby jokes. Really was a good interview got it of ta net.
i agree this thread use to be so much better..... and i can rember that mark hoppus guy i only just had joined and i didnt believe it was him... |

this comes from a fansite..
Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge has broken his silence since the band announced their 'indefinite hiatus' last February. In his FIRST interview since then, Tom has revealed all to K! about his new project, Angels And Airwaves. "It sounds like stadium rock by a band that’s meant to be the absolute biggest band in the world," he tells us. "People are going to flip out when they hear this. I’m not even joking right now, it’s so good. It’s so much better than anything I’ve ever done." Read the rest of the interview in next week's Kerrang! and find out what Tom thinks his former Blink bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker will make of his new band... |

|
So any... chance that they will get togethor for another album or tour?
|
Not really.
Yes it would. Dont be silly :thumb: BTW why is it abreviated to AVA? |
Yes it would. Dont be silly :thumb:
BTW why is it abreviated to AVA?
The AAA in the logo, has an upside down A in the middle. I believe it's a tribute to his daughter, Ava. |
blink 182 got me listening to them with whats my age again and it went from there there prolly going to do another tour but they called it quits at a good time cause the more stuff they put out would have prolly put them into the ground but there still one of my favourite bands

I saw you posted earlier and I thought maybe you were posting that you have the YSI. Oh well, I will have to wait patiently. |
Is Tom and Travis going to do another Box Car Racer album?
If they did, that would be fucking amazing. I doubt it though. :( Where did you hear that? Or is it just a question? |

If only I had a dollar for every time someone said that.. |

I agree 100% with you man. At one point this was the only thread I ever went to. Now I only check up on it every once in a while. Blink is over, their done. I can't even picture them playing music together anymore, it just feels like the Blink era is done. I dunno maybe I'm growing outa them, or maybe they grew outa me. It just feels as if really for them to put out another album wouldn't be what they'd want. I may give AVA a listen if I hear it's any good from other people, and maybe the same with Plus 44...but really to me it seems as if Mark, Tom and Travis have all totally given up on Blink, each in a different band now. That's ok though, I understand, hell I just gave up on my band a little bit ago. |

I'm definately going to listen to their side-projects. It's like the closest thing to blink. |
Back in the day, the only place I ever posted was the Blink thread. Now I only ever post if there's actually something to talk about, but right now there isn't really.
I will listen to Plus 44 and AAA because I want to see how they do on their own. I could care less if Blink get back together because I think I have out grown them too. |
well its all over now and we the fans can only dream of such a tour where plus 44 and AVA tour in harmony but I believe that they broke because they spent to much time away from home as a member of the U.S. armed forces I know how it feels to spend months form ones family and having so little contact with them so I respect thier desision to split. But I still dont want to think that Blink-182 will stop making music. there is a saying which talks about how hind sight is 20/20 and looking back on the untitled album each song was so unique and diffrent form the next that it seemed like a cry for a direction and leadership. unlike the previous albums which all had some sort of underlying element that sturng the songs into an album the last album had to many directions I miss you, Obvious, go, Asthenia, and Lost with out you all seemed to be missed placed the album was great dont get me wrong but it was an album of black sheeps. it was as if they were each trying to make their own album not blink182's album. if i seem bitter over critical its only because I love their music so much so and because of them I bought a bass at 15 an play it every day (mostly Blink182) I have all thier cds (regretably I dont have their vinyl or tape) the book and 4 dvd (urethra chronicals I II box car racer and Kut u up) I never had the chance to see them live but i would go to a transplant plus 44 and angels and airwaves consert just to see the fromer members of blink 182 preform. I know i did not include scott but i have no clue as to what he is up to so dont give me any crap about the former members statement because some one always will. To who ever started the second thread thanks because i will never be able to stop talking about the former glory (which will live on forever in my music collection).

so has any one head any music for the spawn of blink182?
If so how is it |
Am i the only person past 16 who isnt growing out of blink?
Am i the only person past 16 who isnt growing out of blink?
I'm not growing out of it really..I still listen to Dude Ranch and stuff like that every once in a while. I just listen to more and more bands besides Blink compared to before. Before I listened to Blink and then maybe 5 other bands...now I listen to blink and probably 15 bands. |
Am i the only person past 16 who isnt growing out of blink?
Haha, I guess so. I litterally haven't listened to them in months. I haven't got any of their songs even on my computer, but I want to upload all their songs onto my iPod. |
The thing is im not evebn 16, im pretty much 18, and i still listen to them quite a bit. and theres loads of other bands i listen too lots.

Yeah, I dunno, I still like them and all. Like today I found my Dude Ranch cd in my van and played it. I had kinda forgotten how amazing that album is. |
The macbeth site has some new pics up. It's 4 pics of Tom in the studio. He plays piano now...
|
why!!!!!!!!!
It would just be sad and pathetic. I would force my way on stage and make them play together as blink-182 if they did something like that.
Am i the only person past 16 who isnt growing out of blink?
No, I think a lot of us as we get older start listening to more bands, thats all. I used to listen to one of their CD's almost all day, every day, now I listen to one of their CD's usually about once every week or week and a half. They are still my favorite band and probably always will be. |

I still like them, and yes they are still my favourite band, it's just I haven't gotten around to listening to them I guess. Tomorrow, I will pop one of their CD's into my stereo and listen to it while doing my homework. :thumb: |
