Peace.

Like the unspoken rule of dating you best friends ex - is there any "rule" against dating a band mates sister (or brother if you prefer)?

Opinions?

styler 08-16-2005 02:25 AM

well there never is or will be a rule, its all on the bandmate, and of course the sister (or brother)

PowerStamp 08-16-2005 02:31 AM

Depends

1> Do you both like each other (with bandmates siblings it can't be a simple fling)
2> Does bandmate care?
3> Do you respect the fact that it's your bandmates sibling and not to chatter with other bandmates about sex escapades?
If so you're fine lol

It ALL depends. Ask your bandmate if you can date their sister. For real.

Regarding plans tonight: I went to see:
THROWDOWN, THE AGONY SCENE, REMEMBERING NEVER, and SINAI BEACH
*Sinai Beach = very outspoken christian band, positive. Dedicated their last song to RN, understanding differences and that it's not about taking a stance with or against the band, it's art and music. RN = very non christian band, dedicated their last song to people who don't live by a book, they dedicated the song to beliving in fiction)

Very cool show, except Throwdown didn't show, van broke down. :(

I did see a hot chick I know, and offered her a ride home, which I gave her after we talked to the drummer from The Agony Scene for awhile, very cool guy, he's only 20! The singer's older though and is married with a kid. Odd huh, not what you expected.

Anyways we got lost down to her house (Belton, from Westport, we had no idea how to get there haha!) and drove around the highways for 2 hours with bad directions 3 times, until we found it.

Whoo for me, getting used again (no goodnight kiss haha)

What? That's no fun. It's really what I was getting at. You're right, it depends on the people involved. I know the guy would pretend to be cool with it, but would probably hold some grudge. "Bro's before ho's", as the saying goes.

Jam space chatter can turn to "guy talk", I guess it wouldn't be cool if I came to practice one day and be all "You're sister is a freak, man!" :naughty:

BTW - that's real lame of the one band to dis the christian band. Boycott!

Mxb0y 08-16-2005 03:06 AM

I have a favour to ask the admins in dnp section haha. anyway i used my other account (MXboy) and posted something stupid in the pit and got banned. is it possible if any of the kind admins here could try and unban me or at least check for how long my ban is? haha i admit it was a stupid thing to do and...yea im going to be careful what i do in there from now on =). DBJ or damo pls..? *cute face*

Obelisk 08-16-2005 03:16 AM

Can you ban ip's? (^^^)

Mxb0y 08-16-2005 03:19 AM

im not too sure abt banning ips but nowadays, a lot of the modems/isps do not use dedicated ip's right? so that wouldnt be of much help. basically the ban would just be passed on to another person when he recieves that ip. =)

Obelisk 08-16-2005 03:36 AM

It was a joke.

I guess I'm outta the loop then, I thought most broadband connections used static ip's. Made it easier for providers, as they basically put you on a network. Easier from them to track bandwidth useage.

nah nah, RN wasn't dissing on Sinai, they were cool about it. But Sinai had their turn to say their thoughts, RN took a few seconds to say where they're coming from. They were all hanging out before and after the show. Very respectful.

Obelisk 08-16-2005 03:53 AM

Not so bad then, if there one thing that erks me - bands who dis other bands (or soundguys) on stage. Bridges are for crossing, not burning.

I'm a Civil Defense Worker.. so they have officially dubbed me.

So I work for the State, my pay is from taxes. I like my job, but my paychecks are 30 days off-set, wich kinda sucks *shrug*.

Voodoo Rabbit 08-16-2005 12:23 PM

Damn, this coffee needs milk....

My bloody Music teacher wants to hear me play drums tomorrow (I think) , which is terrifying, because she's the type of person who would fly into a rage if you do ANYTHING wrong....So, I'm off to practice my four styles of music, and put milk in my stupid coffee....AND wash my dog, because he rolled in something icky....

Ta-Ta....

rockindrummer 08-16-2005 01:10 PM
