 Something doesn't add up...
Clapton is God right? So Harrison is Jesus, and the song is the holy spirit. I am completely full of **** I will shut up and go to bed now.

Lunch 07-17-2005 06:42 PM

I think David Gilmour should be Jesus, first because in terms of guitar playing he was in some ways the son of Clapton (to me they have similar "slowhand" styles and both play with a great deal of emotion), and secondly because Gilmour just looks like Jesus.

magicbus 07-17-2005 06:44 PM

I don't think Gilmour was the son of Clapton, but he does look a lot like Jesus.

Well, at least he used to. Now he sort of looks like someone who's name would be Mr. Toad and lives in a little English cottage by the edge of a wood

Lunch 07-17-2005 06:45 PM

Not direcelty, and that is a stretch, but they both tend to take their time, which is the only way I was comparing them in terms of guitar playing.

magicbus 07-17-2005 06:47 PM

That's true, I just think they'd be like twins or something, Father and Son makes it sound like Gilmour learned from Clapton.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not about to start trouble, I just love Gilmour.

Lunch 07-17-2005 06:52 PM

That's true, but Clapton is called God and Gilmour looks like Jesus, so I just tried to fit them into those roles.
That's true, but Clapton is called God and Gilmour looks like Jesus, so I just tried to fit them into those roles.
Now I get it :thumb:

Which brings me to my next point, why have I waited so long to get a Gilmour avatar?

Harrison kind of looked like Jesus too though.

Oh shoot, I forgot, Harrison looks like Jesus too. Like more than Gilmour, it's uncanny.

Lunch 07-17-2005 07:05 PM

Wow, I forgot that too. I always assumed Gilmour was the resident Classic rock Jesus.
Wow, I forgot that too. I always assumed Gilmour was the resident Classic rock Jesus.
I think Harrison may have looked even more like Jesus.
I think Harrison may have looked even more like Jesus.
I mean Gilmour has the long hair and beard, but I could actually see Jesus being depicted as Harrison. Plus in the picture I posted, it looks like he could be wearing Jesus robes.

Plus it has wierd lighting that makes him look like some kind of miracle-maker.

Nobody knows what Jesus looks like. All paintings of him were done after his death, and mostly by white Europeans. Remember, Jesus was born in the middle east.

Religion in this thread? umm ok oj.

Yeah, thats a really good point.

This reminds me, I've gotta read the davinci code. Anyone read it?
Well put, Cowboy

ugh I just saw my first back to school ad
I hate when they show those in ****ing JULY.

I wonder if they're gonna show those Staples Alice Cooper ads.

Badmoon 07-17-2005 08:59 PM

David Gilmour looks nothing like Jesus. He has too fat of a face; it lacks as much definition.

I just ordered the Pulp Fiction soundtrack used. Aswell as these used VHS's.

Barton Fink
Do the Right Thing
Four Rooms
Miller's Crossing
Buena Vista Social Club

all for $25

And I just got done with watching The Usual Suspects and Natural Born Killers.

His face looks like Jesus to me in that picture.

And as already stated, we don't even know what Jesus looked like.

Broken Arrow 07-17-2005 09:29 PM

Which brings me to the point, of bronging of that episode of that 70's show where Eric and Hyde are asked to draw god and they both draw Clapton.

"Oh, so you thing God looks like Jesus"

"No man, it's Clapton"

Also JPJ your only on page 100.

I've had it for a day and I'm on pg. 70, and that was pretty much just me reading yesterday because I went to a Jays game today.

Badmoon 07-17-2005 09:32 PM

God, I hate that 70's Show. They have like (maybe) five minor concepts and jokes, and keep using them until ratings drop to the minimum.

Lunch 07-17-2005 09:33 PM

I think it's pretty entertaining, I've never gone out of my way to watch it, but it is funny at times.

So true :).

After the first few seasons it wasn't very much like the 70s anymore either.

jpj 07-17-2005 09:38 PM
Also JPJ your only on page 100.
Um, not sure why that's funny, I'm on 130 now. I suppose that's hysterical, as well.

I'm not gonna start reading it again until I'm done with HBP, Harry Potter books usually don't take me long.

Some great films there. Nothing beats the twist at the end of The Usual Suspects.

Badmoon 07-17-2005 09:47 PM

^Yea, that's a good ending and film. Starts off a little slow, but gradually picks up.

If any of you have the channell Bravo, I recommend you watch the movie entitled Trees Lounge at 3:00 AM Central; it's a film made by Steve Buscemi. It's supposed to be great.

Against Miik! 07-17-2005 09:48 PM

Since summer has made me nocturnal, I just might do that.

Glitterati 07-17-2005 09:53 PM

I get Bravo!

I might do that if I stay up late again.
