Real moshing has nothing to do with punching people in the face and trying to kill each other. That's the pathetic "new school" hardcore. Besides, most metal shows I've been to, more people want to listen to the music then mosh.

Josiah 09-26-2006 12:40 AM

I saw Lale Larson preform "Seven Deadly Pieces" live. Some dude was trying to mosh to a song that changes time sig every single measure. It was pretty awsome. He was REALLY drunk.

Win A Rabbit 09-26-2006 01:00 AM

Man, Mario Party 7 (I think it's 7) is cool. My friend bought it today, and we played it. The microphone games are awesome, except when it doesn't understand what you're saying.

Fun game when you have a bunch of people. The new Nintendo would be pretty cool to play mario party on(motion sensing controlers or something).

Corkofski 09-26-2006 01:31 AM

MyShrimpDied 09-26-2006 02:06 AM

Mario Party is a great party game, button mashing galore.

I just got done watching the Ali G show DVD, funny stuff.

Seafroggys 09-26-2006 02:44 AM

Mario Party 7 is really fun (the only one I've played)

And I can't wait for the Wii. Hopefully I'll have another job by then.

MyShrimpDied 09-26-2006 02:49 AM

I need a job...but have no desire to get one...which i'm sure has never been said before.

oliv_da_skinmasher 09-26-2006 04:01 AM

I'm late for my singing lesson.

GhostNote 09-26-2006 04:18 AM

I have a new found love for progressive rock! Just had to say it. Me and a friend have started a new band, all original, we havent got any other band members yet, but we've written 5 songs, and we're going to record a demo soon, we'll just be laying down the individual parts ourselves. I'll post audio as soon as we have our first track mixed down and completed. Anyone else in a prog band?

Waiting for Black Uhuru to come in now.

Drum Phil 09-26-2006 05:57 AM

Streetlight manifesto FTW

We_Love_Lime 09-26-2006 05:58 AM

The Wailers > Streetlight Manifesto.

Drum Phil 09-26-2006 06:12 AM

NevAr.

The manifesto > all

We_Love_Lime 09-26-2006 06:20 AM

Streetlight Manifesto is pretty cool

But :(

Reggae > Punk Ska

Drum Phil 09-26-2006 06:41 AM

Skacore > reggae

We_Love_Lime 09-26-2006 06:47 AM

cya phil.

so this is awesome, im on my school laptop and this site isnt blocked :P

yay for me!

Sunshine 09-26-2006 08:11 AM

Oh, now that you've said it, it should be blocked by tomorrow.

Haha, that's always my luck anyway.

Except the college computers don't block ANYTHING [well, then again, I've not tried porn or anything illegal, so I may be wrong]. Which is cool, because the teacher is a fucktard and doesn't know what in hell he's talking about, and the internet gives me something better to waste my time on.

Panopticon 09-26-2006 08:14 AM

10 Hours till i see RHCP and TMV. SOOOOO fricken pumped!!!

MatthewMeredith 09-26-2006 10:23 AM

Sup MX

Y'all had a good day

Josiah 09-26-2006 11:18 AM

Gadd is cool, but if you saw him before, it's the same stuff. He never changes. Wait wait let me predict... A paradiddle groove!

raz0r 09-26-2006 11:39 AM
Gadd is cool, but if you saw him before, it's the same stuff. He never changes. Wait wait let me predict... A paradiddle groove!
Followed by the '50 ways' groove.

Win A Rabbit 09-26-2006 11:47 AM

:( HMV hasn't called me back yet. Do you guys think I should call them? My mom and friends said that they take it as a good sign when you call them after they don't call you for a couple days, to show you want to work there instead of you just dropping off resumes at 20 different places and waiting for a call.

Personally I don't think it'd do anything except bring me lower down.

It makes me sad, because the girl at the one place said they'd definately call back.

Edit: Just remembered I left a Diet Coke in the freezer over night. It exploded everywhere. Time to go clean. :(

Josiah 09-26-2006 11:57 AM

Follow ups as a general rule are a good idea.

Win A Rabbit 09-26-2006 12:24 PM

So I ordered some Hardimons in through a local shop a couple months ago (yes, it's been a while) and the guy (who I know, me and him talk whenever I go in there) told me he'd give me a call when they came in. I was around the store a couple weeks ago, and stopped in to see if maybe they'd forgot to call me. He told me no, and that he had remembered to call me when they do come in.

But now it's been atleast 2.5 months since I ordered them, and I doubt they'd wait 2+ months to put in a Vic Firth order.

Josiah 09-26-2006 12:28 PM

Just order em off musiciansfriend or some other website, haha woulda had them 2 months ago!

I'd suggest getting a few pairs. Ralphs and MSII's are my personal Fav's.

Corkofski 09-26-2006 01:05 PM

owww... my limbs burn...

had a 5 and a half hour break today, spent it caning technique...

16th and 8th note single foot bass patterns, both feet
double stroke tom patterns
paradiddle grooves

the latter made me realise how bad my right hand / foot independence has got...
i found it hard to play a parradiddle on hats and snare, accents on 1 and 3, with a simple, 1---12-- bass pattern. kept playing another bass note on the end... pissed me off :/

Josiah 09-26-2006 01:15 PM

Slow it down and count outloud.

Corkofski 09-26-2006 01:19 PM

aye jos, thats what im doing. there seems to be a certain tempo above which i do it, below that im fine...

its bloody annoying

Sunshine 09-26-2006 01:57 PM

So, turns out, I didn't crack a rib afterall.

Thank. Freaking. God.

It would've hurt like this for like 3 more weeks.

maniac0796 09-26-2006 01:59 PM

I've cracked a rib.

It hurts to breath and so forth.

After a few metres of walking, you have to stop because of the pain.
