I got lots of money, which I have used to put a spector Euro 4 Neck through on layaway. Im so exited to get it.

I also got a pair of flatwounds for my fretless. I really like them. They tap a lot better than I thought they would.

I also got some CDs.

Radiohead-Hail to the thief was my favorite. It blows their other stuff out of the water.
311-Sound System is also awesome
Incubus-S.C.I.E.N.C.E is pretty good. Its a little hectic for me though.

I also got a kickass Queen Dvd

Merry Xmas

neal_672 12-27-2004 04:40 PM

SCIENCE is a cool CD, not a patch on the albums after it though...

PaulSimonon 12-27-2004 04:43 PM

I think I'll play on my amp now.
Ah well just save up, it'll be worth the sacrifice. Besides buying little crap feels good  I got meself various Jaco/Primus stuff, CD's/DVD's, Laney 160watt combo, Big Muff pedal, clothes, all in all quite a good Xmas i must say :thumb:
Yeah, little crap feels good until you realize you're barely heard in the mix with your 100W amp.

Janelectro 12-27-2004 04:46 PM

I'm thinking of putting Noiseless pickups in my USA Jazz. Is this a good idea?

PaulSimonon 12-27-2004 04:47 PM

I'm thinking of getting a Rondo.... Jazz or P?

neal_672 12-27-2004 04:48 PM
I'm thinking of getting a Rondo.... Jazz or P?
Jazz

PaulSimonon 12-27-2004 04:48 PM

Deal. I'll get some Dimarzo's to go with it.

Janelectro 12-27-2004 04:48 PM

I'd get that vintageish jazz with the ashtrays from rondo but with basses I'm pretty set atm.

Mitchell Royce 12-27-2004 04:49 PM

Jan, sure why not. It's not a destructive procedure which means if you switch them out and don't like them it won't matter. Have a problem with 60 cycle hum lately?

neal_672 12-27-2004 04:49 PM

I would buy some stuff if it weren't for the Tobias 6er i have on order...

Jamie 12-27-2004 04:50 PM
I'm thinking of putting Noiseless pickups in my USA Jazz. Is this a good idea?
that really sounds like an oxymoron!

I'm pretty set too, but I want a harsher toned bass....

It's not that I'm afraid of changing the pickups, it#s just that I play with the single neck pickup alot and really as you said the hum ist commencing to annoy me...

Plus, the Noiseless set is around 140 € at Thomann instead of 94 € each.
I'd really want to keep the original sound just without the 60's cycle hum.

Eek! I'm sold on a DB500... But I can't find one in the UK for less than £475. Can anybody help? I'm desperate...

And yes, that's ENGLISH POUNDS not dollars, so no US sites and dealers please ^_^

Sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh, but all advice here seems to be given as if the person is in the US, even when they're not.

Jamie 12-27-2004 05:00 PM
