the fact that i've been listening to rap on and off my whole life and had never heard of him up until a brief phase a few months ago where i hung out with large groups of scene / hipster types who all explained to me that Aesop Rock and MF Doom are the best MC's.

you cant judge everyone becuase of the people you hang out with are ****ing stupid and follow trends. ive been listening to mf doom for more than 3 years, and i know some people who have been listening to him since his old days with the group he used to have with his brother so yeah.

his music is really good, i dont know how you can deny that.

i don't have an intense dislike of MF Doom or anything, but I've heard a couple songs by him and they were extremely mediocre and generic so the hype around him has always annoyed me. I still have plans to give him a proper listen some day, but for now I don't care about him
