Enlighten Me 05-12-2006 01:33 PM

I dunno IMO Megadeth 1990-present > Metallica 1990-present.

Jev 05-12-2006 01:38 PM

That's what I'm saying.
I dunno IMO Megadeth 1990-present > Metallica 1990-present.
Which is weird coz Pre 1990 Megadeth > Post 1990 Megadeth

But thats overshadowed by metallicas pre 1991 reign

PepsiMetal 05-12-2006 02:12 PM

Ugh I'll take most of metallica over megadeth. I like some random megadeth songs like hangar 18, holy wars, truth, etc... And a tour le monde. Je dois partir, haha, why did he write that chorus in french?

Erm, Dave's some part french or something. But I dunno what compelled (sp?) him to write it like that.

I think the chorus sounds more powerful in French. In English it's something like "to all the world
to all my friends
I love you
I have to go"
It's about Dave commiting suicide.

I agree. I enjoy a few Megadeth albums such as Youthanasia and A World Needs A hero... But all In all Metallica originality and kirks solo-ing proves a winner for me..

Enlighten Me 05-12-2006 04:01 PM

Well because Metallica stuck with mostly the same line-up their style\soloing hasn't really changed much, which is cool I guess.

Jred250 05-12-2006 04:02 PM

I need some Metallica forum Ideas desperatly. Could someone post a few ideas please??? www.metallica-online.co.uk

I can't really use this site as an influence as it doesn't really have major detail as far as individual bands go.

hoodiemonster 05-12-2006 04:45 PM

i skimmed over the thread, but with 2000 pages its tough to keep up with everything. with that said i dont know how you guys really feel about metallicas crazy dvd release last year. i thought it made them seem like a bunch of bitches. am i the only one that thought they should have retired the band after s&m? it was a perfect album to go out on, and everything that followed was lame and desperate...

PepsiMetal 05-12-2006 05:04 PM

No, we disagree with you.

Enlighten Me 05-12-2006 05:10 PM

Eh, we'll give them one more chance :p

Sadbutrue16 05-12-2006 08:34 PM

Hmm am i the only one who hates Dave Mustain's voice? His voice ruins it for me ;(. Only song i really like is Symphony of Destruction

Metallica >>>> Megadeth

Pro Beer Drinker 05-12-2006 10:47 PM

I'd definitely like to see what Rubin can do with Metallica, but I'm wary of his rap productions. The last thing I need to hear is a rap song featuring Metallica, but I'm sure he'll do fine with them.

I don't mind Metallica's catalog as a whole, and I guess they're at the end of their rope. They've done pretty much anything and everything there is, and I would be content with them disbanding.

As far as Mustaine goes, I like the guy, but I feel he just created Megadeth because of wanting revenge. As far as songwriting goes, Metallica definitely has him beat, but Mustaine is a fine performer.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-12-2006 10:57 PM

Just because Rubin has produced some rap albums, doesn't mean Metallica are going to do a rap track. He has produced music from loads of genres.

Po0sH 05-12-2006 11:05 PM

lawlz at all the fanboys who dont like megadeth. sry folks.

Megadeth>metallica

Hevy Tred 05-12-2006 11:08 PM

Know why? Cause megadeth was on duck dodgers.

Instant win

heavy metal kid 05-12-2006 11:10 PM

I also think Megadeth is better than Metallica, but i can't imagine myself without both bands, they're great.

haha that was an awesome episode

Hevy Tred 05-12-2006 11:12 PM

Im pretty sure it was the only one i watched (thanks to youtube and a boring day) He also kicked some *** on jeopardy

Metallica will be on the Simpsons and was on Space Ghost.

Edit: Dave Mustaine on Jeopardy was kick ***.

Hevy Tred 05-12-2006 11:17 PM

I dont think you understand.

Duck Dodgers. Childrens show. Daffy duck, porky pig.

Hilarious

He saves the world by soloing

This is his list of future
# Untitled - Justin Timberlake (2006)
# Untitled - Linkin Park (2006)
# Untitled - Slayer (ending 2006)
# Untitled - Metallica (2006/2007)
# Untitled - Kid Rock (2006/2007)
# Untitled - The Faint (2006/2007)
# American VI - Johnny Cash (possibly 2007)

Hmm, he did way more rock/metal/country albums than rap ones. And it's not up to him to tell a band which genre they'll be. If metallica won't play a rap song, a producer can't force them to do it. Producer will just work with the band at what music they want to make.

Enlighten Me 05-13-2006 03:37 AM

lol, the Duck Dodgers episode kicks ***.

He's my fav vocalist.

Enlighten Me 05-13-2006 04:45 AM

Can you imagine a 7 year old watching this Duck Dodgers episode, then he's like OMG Megadeth kick ***. Then he gets his dad to buy him the new album. It's just seams so surreal having Megadeth on the show.

That's already happened.

SimonCore 05-13-2006 06:56 AM
