its pretty common to have words for the first personal pronoun starting with M, because that sound is made with just the lips so you can say it before your teeth develop

the finns were a uralic tribe that originated from central asia, that's why their language is agglutinative. turks never went to finland that's silly. |
the finns were a uralic tribe that originated from central asia, that's why their language is agglutinative. turks never went to finland that's silly.
i never said they did. i said they went to estonia, near russia.
also, the finns have always lived in the far north (if i remember right), and are closely related to the the sami |
you are wrong on both counts. learn 2 histry
|
imma go wiki it brb
|
also by central asia i mean north central asia ie. urals. they are called uralic for that reason.
|
i know i know by the Ural mountains
|
and it's also pretty obvious from their language. agglutinative languages all originate directly or indirectly from the same part of the world. finnish is just markedly different now because of its long period of separation.

youre good dude nice nice |

i just read in that article that standard estonian has lost its vowel harmony, goddamn europeans spoiling a good language.

nah, not all agglutinative languages come there. there are agglutinative native american languages. i do think finnish and turkish are related though. |
my favorite agglutinative language is probably spanish
nah, not all agglutinative languages come there. there are agglutinative native american languages. i do think finnish and turkish are related though.
american indians and siberians tribes are related, hence the agglutination
|

no they aren't directly related, it's just because they originate in similar regions. on the native american thing, tbh i'd say that they are very loosely and indirectly related to that part of asia too. the finns went to modern day finland back during the last ice age, and the peoples of northern america came across when the eastern part of russia was connected to modern day alaska. i think that's where any traces of agglutination would come from. edit: beaten by timjim |
