In my case, that's about...35 miles, I'd say.

If I could walk or bike to school, I sure as hell would. If everything were with in a few miles of my house, I wouldn't drive. But it's not.

Lot's of things are within a few miles of my house and I just drive anyway because I'm just too lazy to walk or ride a bike.

LOL seriously, I think your time would be better spent on something else. Moderating is just more work and the benefits are very small.

If you want to volunteer your time so bad you should do volunteer work for some non-profit organization so you can at least put it on your college apps and resumes and maybe learn something along the way. Wasting time cleaning up spam on an internet forum isn't going to do much for your future.
