Agreed. You guys are getting on our nerves. Chill out with the rapid-fire one-word posts, ok? Have an actual conversation about something, instead of freaking out and asking if someone's British just because they say "schmuck."

Here's my new song. Garageband sure is a lot better than I thought it would be. :D Hope whoever downloads it enjoys it. Listen and give feedback!

FYI, I had a piano standing in for the vocal melody, but it was real flat in the recording for some reason so I ditched it. It needs lyrics, and then I'll just sing it in tune. Here you go!
That was really good.
My only suggestion is to sort out your mix a bit, becuase sometimes things get buried.
Great work though :)

Many thanks!!! I appreciate it. What gets buried in particular? The guitar solo section is a little muddy I know.

The solo is little too buried I think, as are some of the guitar parts.
Also, some of the drum work is kind of obscured by the cymbals.

Have you got anything else written?

GurS 03-26-2005 10:28 AM

no need for sarcasm :upset:

metalcritter666 03-26-2005 10:29 AM

on a completely different note I am curious to whether anyone from the myriad of guitarists here uses Boss pedals.

I didn't think the solo was buried at all :thumb:

I've got tons written, but none recorded into Garageband yet. I basically only learned how to use it last night. The cymbals are really loud, agreed. I don't really know why. Probably because MIDI makes good cymbals but lousy acoustic drums. (MIDI drums, yeah....)

I'll have to make the guitars quieter while the solo goes. Thanks for the feedback.

Shipley 03-26-2005 10:31 AM

they need a "drums only" thread, I suck at knowing guitar stuff.

What?
This isn't a guitar thread, if that's what you were implying.
Also, there's a whole Drums and percussion forum for you to frolic in.
