I disagree but than again I'm a more bluesy fan.

IAJP 07-16-2005 08:23 AM

Eat a Peach is a brilliant album.

But then again so is Live At The Filmore East.
It really depends what your bag is, improvisation till you drop:Live At The Filmore East,
Or Good solid rock music, with a bluesy tinge: Eat A Peach.

I have always prefered Eat A Peach though.

ATM 07-16-2005 08:23 AM

I like Eat a Peach better, as well.

jpj 07-16-2005 09:25 AM

Eat a Peach is a perfect album, IMO. I like it a lot more than At Fillmore East.

Woodstock 07-16-2005 09:26 AM

Fillmore for me.

I've always wondered, did Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce just fall off the face of the earth after Cream?

I know Baker was in Blind Faith with Clapton, but did Baker and Bruce do anything after Cream besides that?

jpj 07-16-2005 10:47 AM

Jack has 25 solo albums and has collaborated with a lot of other artists and bands.

Are they good? Because I had never heard that he had done anything solo. I assumed he was just a session musician and such.

What about Baker?

I don't know, I haven't heard any of them. I don't know what Baker did, probably a lot of studio and session work.

icantmakeabong 07-16-2005 11:09 AM

That's because you suck at life.

Just kidding.

Seriously, though, you suck.

I wish Cream stayed together longer. They could have accomplished so much more together.

Badmoon 07-16-2005 11:14 AM

The Byrds > Yardbirds

IMO

Though they shouldn't be compared; they aren't that similar.

Leper 07-16-2005 11:57 AM
is black sabbath classic rock????
yes, and at the same time the founding fathers of metal.

ATM 07-16-2005 11:59 AM

Ginger Baker has some solo stuff.

Jack Bruce collaborated with many other musicians, including Robin Trower.

magicbus 07-16-2005 12:56 PM

Cd's from the library I got:

Bob Dylan and The Band - The Basement Tapes
Yardbirds - Birdland
The Essential Robin Trower
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove

I'm going to rip them all, and if I like them, I'll go and buy them! Yay for the library!

Badmoon 07-16-2005 01:06 PM
and if I like them, I'll go and buy them!
That'd be a waste of money.

magicbus 07-16-2005 01:09 PM
That'd be a waste of money.
Why's that?

Badmoon 07-16-2005 01:12 PM

Because you have the album except the case. You could even burn it onto a disc.

magicbus 07-16-2005 01:16 PM

I guess so. But if I really like an album, I'll buy it. For this bunch, I probably will not buy all of them, that's why I got them from the library.

Badmoon 07-16-2005 01:18 PM

Yeah, if I really like an album I get from the library I will also buy it.

Hammer of the God 07-16-2005 01:29 PM

I think Ac/dc is the most overrated band of all time. They were ok but everybody wears ac/dc shirts even if they don't listen to them. But people wear Led Zeppelin shirts and don't even know who jimmy page is.
