I'm not saying it detracts from fun, hell trolling those people is fun as hell, I just like the approach people tend to have with tf2, they're there to play for fun and that's about it, some people on mw2 are so obsessed about keeping up k/d or hacking the game to make them look like a tenth level 70 prestige for stupid e-cred.
It's so funny when I run into 10/70 hacks, they suck so bad.

That will go quite nicely with the platter of fine cheeses you have so kindly laid out for our sampling pleasure

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:39 AM

the cheese wasnt for eating sire

Angmar 02-08-2010 12:40 AM

Dude I know, I was playing with a CLAN of 10/70 hackers the other day in tdm, there were like 7 of them all on the one team and we ****ing creamed them like 7500-3400 or so, everyone was making fun of them for being stupid hackers who couldn't play, felt good.

Tyler 02-08-2010 12:41 AM

when i used to admin on a css server, everytime someone speed hacked or used aimbots i'd freeze them and make them drop their gun just so they'd get pissy and leave. much funnier than banning.

sometimes i'd rebind all of their keys, too. like "mouse 1" would suicide

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:41 AM

highlight of your day would you say?

I ran into some that quite before the game ended because they were getting raped so hard.

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:42 AM

Angmar 02-08-2010 12:42 AM

I don't understand what they hope to gain through stupid shit like that, or like the people who are on the records for having like 2235146234626246 victories or something.

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:44 AM

I know. The whole point of the prestige system was to keep the game fresh.

Angmar 02-08-2010 12:45 AM

What is there to gain after prestige-ing anyway besides extra custom class slots?

AA-12 02-08-2010 12:46 AM
What is there to gain after prestige-ing anyway besides extra custom class slots?
just that and the ability to get new emblems/titles

im kinda bored of mw2 now, but i'll keep playing it until bf:bc2 comes out. that game is so fun.

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:47 AM
What is there to gain after prestige-ing anyway besides extra custom class slots?
titles and emblems. I did it in MW1 because the challenges and stuff gave me personal objectives. I'm doing it in MW2 for the same reason plus the class slots.

Eh, idk if I'll prestige, maybe after I get bored of having all the guns... but I do like having all the guns......

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:47 AM

i do not have the dedication to play shooters online. i dont really play anything online actually.

AA-12 02-08-2010 12:48 AM

i burned out on my 3rd prestige. im not far from 70 again though

Against Miik! 02-08-2010 12:50 AM

Just started my first the other night

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:50 AM

josh you gonna get mass effect 2?

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:50 AM

You're gonna fly through the first 30 or so levels.

I want to play ME2, but I haven't played ME1 yet.

Tyler 02-08-2010 12:51 AM

definitely don't even bother with me2 until you play the first

Against Miik! 02-08-2010 12:52 AM

I know I'm already on level 17 or so. And I haven't played much the last 2 days

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:52 AM
definitely don't even bother with me2 until you play the first
That's pretty much what I figured.

AA-12 02-08-2010 12:52 AM
josh you gonna get mass effect 2?
got it. im not very far into it because of other things though.
definitely don't even bother with me2 until you play the first
you could always just watch a video summary of it.

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:54 AM
you could always just watch a video summary of it.
I actually want to play the game, not get the sparknotes version of it.

Angmar 02-08-2010 12:54 AM

I'm going to beat dragon age, then beat me1, then play me2.

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:54 AM

nah its def better to play me1 first one of the best parts of 2 is seeing how your decisions in the first have affected things

im pretty far into it, finished all the loyalty missions and about to go get the **** i need to go through that relay. so far its prob my favorite game ive ever played.

dragon age was p cool but mass effect just blows it outta the water

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 12:55 AM

So me2 bases itself on your gameplay in me1?

AA-12 02-08-2010 12:56 AM

i played me1 on 360 and me2 on pc. i didnt want my decisions reflected anyway though.

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:56 AM

well nothing except story details and different people being alive/dead or liking you/disliking you

why wouldnt you josh? i think thats one of the coolest parts, it truly feels like its YOUR game yknow.

So I've heard, but I still wanna beat it, I'm enjoying it a lot and I already own ME1 so I figure I have a good game line set up for quite awhile.

yeah those 3 games are the only ones ive played since dragon age came out. after i beat dragon age i went back and played through me1 again and finished that just in time for me2.

i dont think id want the same decisions. i wanted a fresh game.

Nepenthe 02-08-2010 12:59 AM
Thats pretty damn cool
yeah, cant wait to see how much more your decisions carry over into the 3rd one
i dont think id want the same decisions. i wanted a fresh game.
yeah thats why i just played through it again before 2 came out

how did it set everything up for you? does it still have the alien council or the human one?

spoilers dont read this brian

99% sure the default is

human council

wrex is dead

kaiden is dead if you play a male, ashley is dead if you play female

just fairly basic stuff like that is all they seemed to do

spoilers dont read this brian

gmoneyguy 02-08-2010 01:04 AM

k we need a page turn.

Tyler 02-08-2010 01:04 AM

it's worth playing the first, it isn't just that your story and character carry over, or that you get certain bonuses based on what you played the first time around, but the second game references the first frequently.
