I think it would be pretty cool to have a house in the 'burbs, have some kids, have a good job to go to every day... simple pleasures are the best.

It's not that, it's the romanticness of it all. The extravagant fairy tale like aspect to it. It's not tradition, it's like living your fantasy. Most if not all girls are raised to have that fantasy.
