Yeah. They want you to donate money to the station, and then they will send you the DVD. They are doing Sunshine Of Your Love now.

Glitterati 12-11-2005 12:05 AM

Goddammit! How does Badmoon constantly have top posts ITT? It's like he never sleeps!

PinkFreud 12-11-2005 12:43 AM

visited my local used cd store to see if they were hiring. they werent. but i got 4 new used cds! so the day wasnt a total waste.

fIREHOSE - mr. machinery operator
blue cheer - live: bootleg
bright eyes - i'm wide awake, it's morning
the stooges - the stooges

i had the last two on my computer but not on cd, plus my copy of the stooges was messed up anyway. the other two were pleasant surprises. i've only listened to the blue cheer yet but i've listened to it three times. it's really good.

magicbus 12-11-2005 12:51 AM

We listened to some Stooges stuff in my Rock class on Friday. I think it was tracks 1 and 2 off of the album Funhouse. They were pretty cool songs. Made me want to listen to more Stooges stuff.

PinkFreud 12-11-2005 12:58 AM

they're real cool. come on man. michigan pride!

Woodstock 12-11-2005 09:26 AM

Fun House is the perfect rock album. The rawness hurts your ears.

Seriously, I think the Stooges are the best band to come out of Michigan.

Hello, first off, I forgot my password so any posts I make will be on this account until I go to my mom's where my password is saved :(

Anyways, I'm pissed Gregg Allman didn't make it to the next round of the poll. I hope everyone who didn't vote for him gets syphillis.

Livewired is not the only person here who likes PATGOD. I like it quite a bit myself.

Bright Eyes: ewww, I hate that fuck
The Stooges: meh
Talking Heads: awesome in so many ways
The Smiths: can't stand them

The Cream Reunion was on PBS a couple times here, but I have it on DVD already. That Roy Orbison concert was on too, which was pretty awesome.

EDIT: Heh, I have -13 rep points on this account. The message just says "**** off." It was for a post that just said "hai guyz."

JonG 12-11-2005 02:32 PM

 @ that username.

:)

I finally have Gypsy Cowboy downloaded. Hopefully it's good, I've been lookin' for awhile.

NP: Mott the Hoople - Momma's Little Jewel
I hate how every new songwriter who plays an acoustic guitar gets labelled "the new Dylan" and crap like that. I've honestly read about a dozen reviews for various artists who are called "the new Dylan" and other stupid Dylan-related labels. None of them even come close. There will never be another Dylan. I think I'm Wide Awake It's Morning is a good album though.

On a related note, my school's library recently bought the Dylan Scrapbook thingy....they don't let me take it out of the library for various reasons, but I've been in there every lunch hour reading it. It's awesome! Anyone else seen it yet? I had only read about it on his website, and then suddenly I noticed it behind the counter in our library...it was a glorious moment.
There will never be another Dylan.
Yeah they don't make as much ciggies any more lul.

Anyway, I'm pleased with the top 50 so far, since Dylan made it and all.

But wait wtf called Bright Eyes queer the Dylan of our generation?

But, Zappa was born in Maryland. His family moved when he was 11.

Technically...

Jack Bruce got in though, suprisingly. It looked like he was out.

Ben Harper is a terrific singer/songwriter. I've got a friend who really likes him, and I'm considering getting Fight for Your Mind.

Krabsworth: That's not helping your case, you just sound like a retard; take that to the pit please.

Aerosmith rawks, for classic rock.

ELP rock. I've been really into them lately.

Broken Arrow 12-11-2005 06:04 PM

I think I've only heard one song by them, I'm not even sure if it was them though. It was really were upbeat song that had lots of changes.

It was about seeing a show or something, still I'm no sure if this was even them.
