get some triple-antibiotic ointment to put on it under the bandage. Let it chill covered for a few days, then uncover it, let it dry, and it should heal up pretty quick.
Never stopped me.
So I just spent another $600 today. I'm gonna buy myself out of life with music gear.
What did you buy this time? |
What did you buy this time?
I have the same Chorus. Used to have the TU-2 but it got stolen. |
i wish i wasn't so damn broke. anyone want to buy my soul?
|

And more practical than a multi, I'd rather have a good distortion and chorus than to shitty ones and a plethora of other effects I never use. |
Get a delay next man they're the most fun.
|
Eh, I wouldn't use it in a band situation. My multi had a few delays/reverbs I never used. The reason to get rid of it is because I don't really get any fun out of sitting around and noodling on it anymore.
|
To be honest there's barely ever a reason to use any effects on the bass in a band situation, it's just finding a use for the ones you want to use.
|
Yeah, distortion and chorus :p
Distortion is easily the easiest one to throw into a band situation. Chorus works well, a light phaser or something else similar works well when accenting the highs in a more melodic line. |
Yeah, distortion is pretty easy to use. Just make sure you set its volume right so that it sits properly against the clean sound. A lot of people make the mistake of setting it too loud or too soft vs their clean sound and it either obliterates the mix on stage or is barely audible.
I have this Digitech stereo phaser but I don't play around with it much, the step effect is pretty tight though. |
I'm liking this new OD model because it has a 2band EQ in it as well, living the dream. I can't wait to mess around on the chorus when it arrives though, I love chorus.
|
I've used my mate's ODB3 a fair bit, it's pretty good, you can go from very slight to very severe overdrive which is the thing to look for in that kind of pedal I think.
You can get some pretty lush sounds out of the CEB3 too. |
What's the CEB3?
|
The chorus pedal.
|
I knew that.
|
Haha :p.
Yeah you'll like it. |
I am certainly hoping so! Haha.
Meanwhile I just finished transposing the notes onto stave of the titular line of "I still call Australia home" for a friend who's gone to England. |
My girl is going to be in town later tonight. Anybody else excited?
I need to take some family pictures for Funky's thread. |
Yeah, I like pictures!

The only thing I hate about mine is that I loose all of my mid frequencies and can't cut through very well with it. |

Cut the hi's and low's and boost the overall volume = mids. |

I have the volume maxed and the only way I can get the clean vs. OD volume to be the same is to boost the bass and treble on it also. I may just have to look into a different overdrive pedal. |
What are the side effects of simethicone?
there are none. maybe dizzyness but since its a foam so not taken orally unless youre taking it orally then it shouldnt really affect you. it is related to codeine though i believe |

No worse feeling than bloatedness.... And yes, I know there are none, I was merely testing you :p I'll tell you what though phenylephrine sucks balls as a nasal decongestant. |

That's what I've been taking for the last 5 days, I'm still not getting over the actual virus though, if I'm not better by Saturday I'm going to have to see someone.
|
You'll never maintain 100% of your tone through an OD pedal because by definition it changes the waveform so much that you just won't be able to keep all the sonic qualities that were there before.
Up your orange juice or pineapple juice bro that'll fix you. If that doesn't do it, bomb your body with incredibly harsh medicine. Those are two things that fix me. |

if thats the case i would up and go like right now if i were you. |

Well it's already Friday here... so tomorrow. Having said that, doctors aren't open on weekends. Damn. It's nothing bad, just a head cold. Also I'm considering starting a web journal (blog, yes I hate this word) about my adventures with the band and our little journey into the industry, an insiders look at the music world if you will. Little stories and anecdotes of our adventures which will be not only entertaining, but insightful... Also it'll stop me being lazy and get me writing something. The more of that I do the better or I'm just going to be terrible when I jump back into my course. LiveJournal, WordPress, Blogger? I don't know which one to use. |

You are a horrible person for making a blog, Funkyhoney.
Have fun with it. :chug: |
Hrmm, perhaps a cheap EQ pedal could help you out?
The whole OD effect in general has cutting through issues just because of the nature of the effect.
Yes, I know. I don't like much overdrive, but I like a bit of crunch. I'm going to head to GC today and try out a couple different pedals. It might just come down to grabbing a GEB-7 and flipping them on simultaneously. |

Are you just saying that because I'm far too opinionated about correct use of the English language and using a format that is fundamentally flawed and is more or less reliant on the use of contracted English to convey my ideas will eventually lead me into some form of murder-suicide ending rampage? |

That's what I was getting at. Even just an el-cheapo behringer EQ would do it. |

As long as you don't emo out on it I probably won't hate yours though because you're a cool guy. |

I can get a used GEB-7 for $50. I'd rather spend the extra $20 and get a good pedal. I've read too many negative reviews about the Behringer EQ. |
