Chad keeps getting into my kingofdudes account, so I am just gonna keep it banned till he gets over his little e-grudge.

ugh my neighbors are setting off fireworks, i should stab them :-/
Man, what the hell is up with Chad, I keep hearing he's bein' quite the e-terrorist wannabe.

And stabbing is so passe. You need to either

a) snipe them or
b) give them a taste of their own medicine

:p

Man if I posted this at school, the district would take what I just said all seriously and I'd be screwed

Wow. I just got Sigur Ros' Takk... for Christmas, and it's just beautiful. What wonderful music these Icelandic gentlemen make.

I also got a brand-new 30 GB iPod! (before I only had an antique 10 GB model :p)

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE IN R+M!!! :D

EDIT: I've decided that signatures are the single most annoying thing on the planet for other forums' posts, and I'm damn glad this forum doesn't have them activated.

Jom 12-25-2005 09:56 AM

Another forum I post on has a strict sig. policy, and it isn't too bad at all. Any graphics have to be at most 150 x 700 and text is up to 255 characters.

It's a phpBB-driven forum, but it's actually pretty nice. Everyone's banners and avatars are festive for the holidays right now.

Jev 12-25-2005 09:59 AM

I got a drum kit. Time to put my neighbours through hell.
Merry Christmas.

Well, that's alright. Some people just allow these sprawling, meaningless things to obscure the whole page. Often I can't tell when a post begins or ends, or where the text that the user actually wrote is located. :(

Anyway, sorry for being Scrooge-y on Christmas Day. I shall say this: "It's a Wonderful Life" chokes me up every time I watch it. Such a nice Christmas movie. And remarkably funny, too, considering the time when it came out.

halfdeadhippo 12-25-2005 10:47 AM

Merry Christmas everybody. I got money, with which I ordered 14 cd's, slippers, some books, a suitcase, and some other stuff. :chug:

King Of Terrors: I'm sorry to hear that.

Anyhow, I opened my presents at last and, amongst other things I've finally gotten an mp3 player (20GB) to replace my busted discman! Man I'm happy about this.

Just out of curiosity, what is about the average cost of CD's where you live?

King_Of_Terrors 12-25-2005 11:58 AM

I bought three CDs yesterday, Dark Tranquillity, Bodom, and Nile.
Just out of curiosity, what is about the average cost of CD's where you live?
In southeastern Michigan, they cost about $15 on average (since I've seen them anywhere from $10 to $20 for single discs). It depends on where you get them, really. At Borders, they're expensive, but cheaper if you get them at Sam Goody, etc.

edit: :upset: I thought it was a general question.

Yeah, California is expensive, CD wise too. It's hard for me to find any CD for less that 13 dollars. Sam Goody is expensive where I live. I spent 17 bucks Pantera's GSTK. Even the smaller business where I live charge a pretty penny. But I got some money, so I don't mind spending that much cash on CDs.

Aw3someman 12-25-2005 12:10 PM

CD's here in Florida cost like $5 if they're old enough. I got Slayer's Reign in Blood a couple days ago for $6.99

halfdeadhippo 12-25-2005 12:15 PM

Yeah, by $10, I was referring to jazz cd's and other non-rock/rap/pop/country type stuff. Basically, it's the stuff that they won't make much money on anyway.

Mr. M, Man of Muzak 12-25-2005 12:48 PM

Stuff I got

New surround sound stereo system
New Car Stereo
1 Iron Maiden Shirt
Yet another Pink Floyd shirt
$30 gift card to Sound Shop
Various other stuff

I gave
My mom: Earrings, Sigur Ros (), and another CD
My Dad: Command and Conquer Generals, Half Life 1, Call of Duty Expansion (He just got a new laptop, and he is going to the Middle East for 4 months)
My Brothers: Guitar Hero

Magicaltroll 12-25-2005 01:15 PM

I just thought I'd say Merry Christmas to everyone in here, though I never post in here :p

Maybe now is the time to start...

Anyway, time to brag about what I got.
I got an Epiphone Les Paul guitar :D It's sweet. It's a major improvement from my 6 year old Ibanez I had. And I also got a CD player, with some rechargable batteries (which are very nice, I'm glad they got them).

And I got about 300$ from my grandma.
Which I'm probably going to use for a multi-track recording "workstation".

So this Christmas rules, majorly.

Mazeppa 12-25-2005 01:28 PM

omg!:amaze:
My dad just goes and brings me in a brand new stereo system for my room! So yes, I fully agree with this comment:

Aw3someman 12-25-2005 01:49 PM

I found my presents early so i knew what i was getting. A brand new KH-602 ESP and a 75-watt Line 6 Spider II. My parents also gave me Megadeth's Rude Awakening and Rusted Pieces. Plus Metallica's Live Shit: Binge and Purge.
So hell yes Christmas kicks this year.

Josh 12-25-2005 01:53 PM

merry christmas mx. well, dinner was about...6 hours ago and i'm still absoloutely stuffed, so no tea needed :). i didn't get much - books, a jacket, socks, and money, but my bro got a scalextric set and the only place in the house where there's space to set it up is in my room :). anyway, sales start tomorrow, and as it's my birthday in 13days i'm gonna wait til after then and go shopping.

EDIT: my dad just told me that even though the new car's mine already, it counts as a present :D

Magicaltroll 12-25-2005 01:58 PM

My little brother got a drumset too!
I think I'll be enjoying it more than him though :p

Only thing is I can't tune the fecking thing to make it sound alright.

Shred Danson 12-25-2005 02:41 PM

Didn't get much.

Well, my rythym guitarist's mom got me a wireless system for my guitar, which is pretty damn cool. I didn't make much of a list so no one knew what to get me :p I really don't care anyway; I don't want people spending too much money on me...though I am eager to see what my girlfriend got me (we have our special little Christmas next Saturday. Awwww.).
