It wasn't StrangerDanger. He'd been spamming up TC beforehand, or so they said, but I checked it out and he was posting there much like he was posting here.

Crapdragoon 09-04-2004 12:57 PM
I got it done.

GG foxfire. :smash: :smash: :smash:

Foxfire 09-04-2004 12:59 PM

Whoops. :p

I haven't seen him in here before this one.

WinterMute: You have to admit the music on TC was kinda catchy...

ScorpSath 09-04-2004 01:02 PM
Anyone caught what was going on with TabCrawler? There were some threads in there about spamattacking MX, so me and 3074326 made TabCrawler accounts and reported it to the TC mods. The TC mods threatened to ban any TC member caught spamming MX (and in return we promised to help track down some MX members who appear to be spamming TC). However there was some complaint from TC members.

So it was left at that grumbling conclusion.

However, now TabCrawler has been hacked down to the ground. The whole thing has been deleted, and many key members banned. TC admins and such are hot on the trail of the culprit, and apparently Interpol have been involved.

Unfortunately, due to the extremely bad timing of this, we are bound to take some blame. One member (a particularly despicable character called LickinChickin, who was openly hostile to 307 and I when we were being perfectly reasonable) is convinced it was us.

It's amazing how much can go on online. It may come to nothing, but keep eyes open!

(the Mod Forum is full of this sort of thing...)
Yeah it really is a shame, I don't want to know what kind of person would do that what has tc really ever done to us?

ScorpSath 09-04-2004 01:03 PM

ehehehehehehehe.

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:05 PM

I downloaded the MIDI and put it into Guitar Pro just for the hell of it.

Wintermute 09-04-2004 01:07 PM

I didn't actually hear it, my computer's speakers are broken. I'm on the shitty family PC here, rather than my own much more swish laptop.

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:11 PM

Ah.

Well...it was catchy. There was some slap bass in it too. :p

Who was that one guy in the pit who was going on about how he needed to alert a mod because he thought he knew who he was? The guy who was going on about how the hacker wouldn't do anything because he would catch him or something?

Wintermute 09-04-2004 01:13 PM

Within_The_Light... I don't honestly think he knew what he was talking about. That or he knew a bit and thought he knew a lot.

Like my dad, who lectures me at length about computers, and then minimizes something and wonders where it went...

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:15 PM

Haha.

Yeah, I do believe he was just trying to look good. I know, though, that two or three of the people that hang out on here (Bass forum) know a few things about hacking themselves. :p

Wintermute 09-04-2004 01:24 PM

Quite a few people do. But that doesn't mean they did it.

A good friend of mine could be a very dangerous man if he felt like it, but I would bet he never will.

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:26 PM

Yeah.

I dislike people who abuse that type of stuff. I used to hang out in this one chat room, and this guy wanted to start a "clan"...went around and got the biggest file sharers to go with him. If they didn't want to, he'd threaten to nuke them, and then do it.

*shrug*

Wintermute 09-04-2004 01:29 PM

It's a sad fact, but the world is full of fucking awful people, with nothing better to do than cause trouble. You see it online, you see it on the news, you see it every time you go into town.

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:30 PM

It's amazing that the world isn't a barren wasteland due to nuclear war yet.

:o

Jamie 09-04-2004 01:30 PM

wintermute: haha! my dad does exactly the same thing! my mum does aswell (but at a more basic level) and she cant even turn the dvd player on (despite a bit button saying on) .....

thats sucks about tc

Jamie 09-04-2004 01:34 PM

so whats the difference between jelly and jello? (is jello yellow jelly?)

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:34 PM

Real fast, computer literate people: is there a way to record MIDI through the Wave Out Mix? (that is, inside the computer/without a mic)

ScorpSath 09-04-2004 01:36 PM

Yeah Jaco and I were chating on msn last night he posted links to all this horrific stuff from around the world then put a link to how much briteny's spears gum sold for.... That's how horrible this world is people die from starvation, diseases and other such things and American's are obsessed with britney's chewed gum, horribly ironic.

Discuss.

The sad truth...

ShelBel 09-04-2004 01:38 PM

I put Jelly on toast (it's thicker, more sugary). I eat Jello out of a bowl (usually fairly clear, more variety in flavors, more fruity than sugary).

Jelly I buy in jars; Jello comes in little boxes in powder form and needs to be mixed with sugar and boiling water, then cooled so it gets... well... gel-like.

Jelly is a condiment; Jello is a dessert.

Any questions?

ScorpSath 09-04-2004 01:39 PM

 as we discuss this people die from aids......... Shock

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:41 PM

Jello > Jelly imo.

ShelBel 09-04-2004 01:43 PM

^^^^12345!

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:44 PM

Come to think of it, I haven't had Jello for a long time...

ShelBel 09-04-2004 01:47 PM

I have a ton of it in my pantry... come on over! :D What flavor do you want? Would you like whipped cream with that?

(Can you tell I'm a mom to two boys? )

Foxfire 09-04-2004 01:49 PM

Sure Shel! :p

potatoe: I don't know. Last time I saw it I gave some to this girl who absolutely loved Jello (dare I call it a Jello fetish?), which was probably in June.

Radiobass81 09-04-2004 01:51 PM

Butter > Jello or Jelly

There is nothing better then sliced bread with butter...

Crapdragoon 09-04-2004 01:53 PM

What the.^

:amaze: 09-04-2004 01:53 PM
luke19boarder... i absolutely loved tears in heaven and i was wondering if you had a tab for it, and if you don't have one...maybe consider making one... it would be sweet
I haven't made a tab for it ... it's not really that hard ... just take the guitar tab and make it fit on 4 strings.

:amaze:

Jamie 09-04-2004 01:53 PM

how can they prove its britneys chewing gum? taking a picture from the net of her chewing? that wouldnt be hard to get!

how much did it sell for?

that reminds me of the soad song boom, on steal this album.

thousands of children die every day from starvation while billions is spent on bombs making death showers.

I defretted my p-bass today! it was really fun and i learnt quite a bit from it, ive course sanded it and sanded upto a grade 180, i need to go and buy some woode stain/dye but im not sure on what colour, i was thinking of mahogony? (rosewoods fretboard at the mo) or maybe something like light oak. The fretboard looks really nice when sanded, it goes a kind of chocolately colour :) im making a guide for defretting it at the moment :) its gunna be a good one, loadsa pics, etc.

I stuck my rotosounds back on it and played it for 20 mins, it sounded sooooo nice! and i love sliding on it!

Going to my dad's for the day later!

Jamie 09-04-2004 02:05 PM

Foxfire 09-04-2004 02:07 PM

Apparently so.
