I think's it's stupid, they are more rock than punk.

DJ Ducksauce 10-15-2007 07:48 PM

Um, didn't I just say they have more fans that post in the pp forum than in R&M. They just get criticized there for the main part.

Gonads 10-15-2007 08:51 PM

Yeah I just misunderstood you.

Kif 10-15-2007 08:58 PM

Make a Coheed thread in R&M and tell us how it goes ;)

DJ Ducksauce 10-15-2007 09:07 PM
Yeah I just misunderstood you.
Alright.

Yeah, there were a few CoCa threads in R&M in previous years that weren't very fun. Basically everyone telling Claudio to grow a nut sack.

B 10-15-2007 09:37 PM

lol WHER AR THA BROOTAL GROWLZ THIS IZNT METUL

\m/

HE SOUNDZ LIK WHEN I ET MY SISTR

lunchforthesky 10-16-2007 01:52 AM

Ironic seen as Coheed are basically Dragonforce-lite nowadays.

I preferred them when they were a cheesy pop punk/prog rock crossover not an even cheesier pop punk/power metal crossover.

Transient 10-16-2007 02:01 AM

The two songs they've released and the title track are the best in my opinion.

I'm just thanking christ that it's shorter than GA:I which was a ridiculous length. I cannot sit through the entirety of GA:I without getting bored, it's just too long tbh.

Riziger 10-16-2007 03:55 AM

ya'll listening to the leak i presume....

i wanted to dl it but i think i'll just wait till the cd comes out.

ddrfreak62 10-16-2007 04:33 AM

I hope a ton of you all actually buy the cd like me. I listened to the leak and the album is awesome.

Transient 10-16-2007 04:39 AM

I'll buy it once I have money and once it actually gets to Australia.

So in a few years.

encmetalhead 10-16-2007 02:32 PM

sounds great so far

i think the album will be good, but not as good as in keeping secrets. here's an interview. it previews four songs. the last one sounds so much like pink floyd.

myassitches 10-16-2007 03:32 PM

i just listened to the first half of no world for tomorrow. i like it so far. i'm just wondering why it didn't start out with the little piano thing that always plays. (Second Stage Turbine Blade, The Ring in Return, Keeping the Blade)

DJ Ducksauce 10-17-2007 04:53 PM

Feathers is a great catchy song.

It seems like it would have been the single for the album rather than The Running Free.

Iluvatar 10-17-2007 05:47 PM

It didnt start out with a piano piece I think because it isn't really a seperate part of the story, it falls in line concept wise with Volume 1.

Album is great, Feathers, the title track, The End Complete and the Road and the Damned are the best songs.

Static 10-18-2007 05:17 PM

The End Chapter is brilliant.

The End Complete and the Road and the Damned are the best songs.

DJ Ducksauce 10-18-2007 05:31 PM

Yeah, I'm digging the whole thing, but The End Chapter is pretty great.

Feathers has been in my head all day long. I like how old themes arise every now and then.

Has anyone gotten the Armory Wars comics? Better than the first SSTB ones?

Static 10-18-2007 05:39 PM

No, but I really want to pick them up.

This album is growing on me. It hasn't grabbed me immediately like Good Apollo I and IKSOSE:3 did.

DJ Ducksauce 10-18-2007 05:53 PM

I tried to get into GA I as a whole, but only a few songs appealed to me. Mainly those in the beginning and the end.

IKSSE:3 was my favorite album for almost I year I'd say. It's on right now actually.

Static 10-18-2007 05:58 PM

The Willing Well Parts I and II are some of my favorite songs ever.

neverender 10-25-2007 06:55 AM

i bought the new album a few days ago, definately good!

the title track, mother superior and the last track stand out for me, though all the songs are really likeable... some nice solos and driving bass.

One thing I miss a little is the lack of melodic interludes... its hard to explain, i mean like the bits in the willing well III and faint of hearts and ten speed... those bits are the best of coheed IMO.

the album is definately on par with the others though, its a little more technical and different, but the production is good, as long as you have a decent sub this album can be awesome :D

hey, you're not cory! 10-25-2007 05:04 PM

So, the new album falls short of their first two, but I'd say it's definitely a step up from Good Apollo Volume 1.

DJ Ducksauce 10-25-2007 07:47 PM

I'm not sure as to where to place it with SSTB and IKS yet.

GAI<others for sure though.

So Bag Online Adventures should be the next CD right? The prequel or whatever?

Oh, and does anyone have the Explicit version of GAII? All the torrents I'm seeing are clean.

B 10-25-2007 10:08 PM

SSTB>IKS>new disc>GA

imo

Holyed 10-26-2007 08:51 AM

So far i'm going with IKSOSE > SSTB > NWFT > GA

I heard like 4 of the songs before I got the cd (which I waited for,) which has kind of ruined it a bit for me, as I rinsed those songs, so only really have 9 new ones to listen too. I love this album already though, although I was hoping the Fall Of House Atlantic, would be a song similar to House Atlantic, but oh well. Its confidently affirmed me of why they are by far my favourite band.

Oh, also, I got up at 9am this morning to get presale tickets for the Brixton show in February. Anyone else coming, or planning on coming?

Sound Boy 10-26-2007 03:17 PM

i've had this album for a week and a half and its been the only one i can listen to...sooooo good

thedeadwalk! 10-27-2007 12:16 AM

I'm really digging Claudio's singing in Mother Superior. The music's okay throughout the CD, but I've especially been liking the singing. He seems to go all over the place more often.

Gonads 11-20-2007 10:33 PM

Ok I'm coming out of the closet, I like Coheed and Cambria, they are my #1 guilty pleasure, I own all of the albums except the new one which I'm afraid to give a chance because I heard the single and it sounded like 80's butt rock.

DJ Ducksauce 11-20-2007 10:45 PM

The new one kick's GAVI's butt tbh.
