Surf 10-17-2006 05:08 PM

TojesDolan 10-17-2006 05:08 PM

Crappy lyrics, good enough for cheering.

Anyway, I have a Deviantart thingie...

There's a lot of tojes to spread and stuff.

Good one surf :)

SubtleDagger 10-17-2006 05:11 PM

I used to think drawing was the best

Then I discovered painting which just seems like it's a thousand times better

Surf 10-17-2006 05:12 PM

finger painting ftw

TojesDolan 10-17-2006 05:21 PM

Painting is indeed much more fun, but recquires a lot more budget.

slack 10-17-2006 05:47 PM

i like working big like murals of hr giger inspired stuff

maybe one day i will actually finish something :]

TojesDolan 10-17-2006 06:27 PM

The thing about large projects is that usually you never get around finishing them. Ever.

:-|

Surf 10-17-2006 06:34 PM

true. thats why i haven't done any painting since school. that and the fact that i was rubbish at it

TojesDolan 10-17-2006 06:39 PM

I just need to buy a canvas and paint.

But paint is very expensive.

Good one at least. I left you a clit at your peen, surf

Surf 10-17-2006 06:41 PM

it was much appreciated. any clit is apreciated in my current state. and i had forgotten about that particular peen.

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to TojesDoLan again. i may go and rep random people to resolve this

edit: 800 posts. i must leave that there for this evening.

edit 2: you have given too much reputation in the last 24 hours.

HAD we but tofu enough, and rep,
This coyness, Tojes, were no crime

TojesDolan 10-17-2006 06:45 PM

Silly surf. Let me help your condition.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-17-2006 08:46 PM

What poets (or lyricists) are you guys most inspired by? You guys are far more educated in the field of poetry than I am and I'm just curious to where you guys get your influence from. :)

ImThePinkRanger 10-17-2006 09:05 PM
funny songs are never funny. especially ones about ninja turtles, videogames, cartoon characters, boobs, manginas, and vin diesel

what you hope: people go in your thread say "rofl lmao sixstring you are teh funny lolz"

what will actually happen: if your thread isn't closed it will die a slow and agonising death and will be full of terrible songs which AREN'T FUNNY.

so; don't do it.
I beg to differ.
There are funny songs.
=[

I think uh.
stephen lynch is funny.
Sometimes.

SixStringKing 10-17-2006 09:42 PM

SubtleDagger 10-17-2006 09:46 PM

denied.
well i attempted to post.. and it was deletedzors.
it managed to be less funny than i expected. 'i want to put it in you'? really? i actualy have less respect for you as a human being.

in terms of poetry (this could be a long list):

duffy, t s eliot, marvell, ted hughes, seamus heaney, yeats (reading alot recently), shakespeare, marlowe (not necessarily poet, playwright whose work reads like poetry), milton, sylva plath, wordsworth, keats.....the list goes on to be honest. i wouldn't say i have specific lyricist influences (don't write lyrics) but i enjoy the usual stuff. dylan, waters, waits yadda yadda yadda

slack 10-18-2006 08:56 AM

elliott smith is my fav

Surf 10-18-2006 08:59 AM

i like his stuff but i left the few albums i had at home. i can't get them on torrents, so i can't listen. gay. anywhere else where i may procure his works through, shall we say, slightly illicit means?

slack 10-18-2006 09:05 AM

nope i don't

just rebuy whatever you had it's worth it anyway :p

TojesDolan 10-18-2006 09:07 AM

Gabriel García Marquez, Aldous Huxley, Fedor Dostoievsky, Jaime Sabina, Pablo Neruda...

Surf 10-18-2006 09:09 AM

i have no money. i spent £15 on books this morning. books i don't need that will distract me from the books i have to read. which was silly.

but i did manage to pick up a translation of Goethe's Faust, which I've wanted for a long time.

/goes to look for torrents.

edit: slack and tojes are up suprisinly early. what time is it over there?
and dostoevsky i found to be rather dry, his character were well drawn, but he took to long to take them anywhere. mind you, i've only read the idiot

TojesDolan 10-18-2006 09:22 AM

I'm up because I have circuits class at the labs.

:\

And yes, Dostoievsky's magic is the fact that he just goes overboard without the necessity to, but describes everything marvelously, which is the reason I'm so fond of him.

Anyway, you keep this forum alive on your own Surf, haha.
