Christmas has steadily gotten worse for me. Well maybe not worse, but less good. I have no spirit whatsoever anymore.

It's not really so much a Christmas vacation as it is a winter one. It's a great time to have a break, regardless of the fact that Christmas happens to be around the same time.

Nope. I think it's great, but I can only say that after getting a good grasp on it after the 5th viewing.

Both, really, among several other things. Other than having people spontaneously buy you presents to celebrate the birthday of some dead guy they've never met, I can't see anything to like about it. Except maybe the food. But even that just makes you fat.

All the shops are either packed, or shut. All the clubs are packed, or shut, and invariably have sh[SIZE=2]i[/SIZE]t music. People become totally incapable of having a conversation about anything other than Christmas. Religious bigots start breeding and mutliplying in the sewers. More than any other time of the year, there's constant pressure on you to be in a relationship. It's cold. The TV sucks. The radio sucks. Your neighbours suddenly turn into an episode from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The only real escape is alcohol, and all that does is get you depressed and sick.

And the worst thing about it? IT LAST FOR 5 MONTHS. People put up decorations and start talking about it in September, and then don't stop until the end of January - if you're lucky.

Roll on New Year's, I say. That's something worth celebrating.

Dude, you just don't understand the importance of christmas: a guy was supposedly born. In a f[SIZE=2]u[/SIZE]cking [I]manger[/I]. So start decorating a pine tree.

try and watch the original [I]abre los ojos[/I]. it's by a great spanish director called [I]Pedro Almodovar[/I], so it'll have subtitles. but it's 3,000,000x better :smoke:
