I just wanted everyone to know that Sunn O))) scares the **** outta me. In a good kinda of way. I think.
That's how it's meant to be.

whiteminority 11-06-2006 04:33 PM

bump

AIRIC 11-06-2006 04:49 PM

Good idea. What's your name btw?

Just checked out Ekkaia. Sweet band. Andrew is there anything other than Manos Que Estrechan Planes De?

I've also been digging the new Kylesa lately. I see it as being pretty melodic, but heavy as **** at the same time. Pretty damn good.

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 04:52 PM

What kind of band is Ekkaia? I've been meaning to check them out for awhile...

kinda crusty screamo?

AIRIC 11-06-2006 05:15 PM

I dunno really. I would just call them crust.

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 05:16 PM

Do they have a site where I could hear some songs?

AIRIC 11-06-2006 05:17 PM

I'm not sure really. Do you have soulseek?

whiteminority 11-06-2006 05:51 PM
Good idea. What's your name btw?
WHO MEEEEEEEE?

If so it's Ben.

AIRIC 11-06-2006 06:13 PM

Yeah you. Hi Ben I'm Eric.

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 06:30 PM

I checked out Ekkaia on myspace...and they are awesome.

AIRIC 11-06-2006 06:31 PM

Yeah they are really sweet.

Do you have Soulseek Justin?

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 06:34 PM

No. :(

AIRIC 11-06-2006 06:35 PM

Hmm. I could probably send you an album on AIM if you want?

We should start a crust/grind/ect mailing list.

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 08:50 PM

Oh my God, Ekkaia is so f'ucking good.

Subvert_bassist 11-06-2006 09:38 PM

How have y'all not heard Ekkaia until now? i swear I made a post about them before. They're like Spanish Tragedy with a touch of screamo, I say.

The only other release I know of is a 7" called Seven Songs.

AIRIC 11-06-2006 09:40 PM

Yeah I guess it is pretty weird we've never heard of them considering that LP was released in '02. Either way they're sweet.

I know I've asked this before but what do you guys think of Axegrinder? Probably my favorite 80's crust of that slower metal influenced style.

Subvert_bassist 11-06-2006 09:44 PM

I've heard a lot about them, but never heard them.
We should start a crust/grind/ect mailing list.
Hella. The members who post actively in this thread could each give a review. Try to give it some variety.

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 09:45 PM

Axegrinder is really f'ucking awesome.

AIRIC 11-06-2006 09:59 PM

For Axegrinder I think everyone likes Grind The Enemy which I believe is their first LP, and though very good I like Rise Of The Serpentmen much better.

And I'm definintely down for a mailing list. How would it work though? Everyone has to YSI an album and email it to someone who would then send a mass email to everyone on the list I guess.

I think if we do it this way we should require that if you're on the list your occasionally participating so that we dont have the same few people doing all the work.
Yeah you. Hi Ben I'm Eric.
Hey cutie. :naughty:

AIRIC 11-06-2006 10:21 PM

Hey Ben are you down for a mailing list?

RetiredAt21 11-06-2006 10:34 PM

Oh my God, I think the Xanax is kicking in...oh jeez...

Subvert_bassist 11-07-2006 12:48 AM

I got some webspace we can host stuff with. 5120 MB storage to music, and 50120 MB bandwidth a month for people to download. Not a ridiculous amount, but should suit our list fine. If we need an album hosted, just lemme know what album. I might already have it, and if not, you could send it to me to put up. Also, I can set up an email from my server space, so that we don't have to worry about a mass email site's bandwidth restrictions. I'll look around in the control panel, and see if it supports mailing lists.

Update: My server supports mailing lists, and I can do it without too much trouble.
Hey Ben are you down for a mailing list?
Yes, but I really don't download music that much, so I would feel like a dick when I got all this awesome stuff grinding my balls to dust and not being able to send anything.

Subvert_bassist 11-07-2006 01:05 PM

That's cool, though, dude. You can do most any album, just choose out of the ones you do have. And you don't have to contribute every time. If you have it on vinyl or something, just tell me what album to put up, and I'll do it for you.

If we come up with a name, I'll start making the actual mailing list message. Then, we'll just have to come up with content, and it's good.

RetiredAt21 11-07-2006 02:28 PM

If my internet wasn't so finicky, I would be SO down for a mailing list.

AIRIC 11-07-2006 03:47 PM

All right this sounds like it's going to be pretty good.

Gnarmageddon 11-07-2006 04:06 PM
