i only heard 'ancestors' from the gonjasufi album, liked the flylo beat but the vocals r weird

I find it comforting in an off-putting way. Really love it, especially the scruffy vocals. These are my favorites currently.

vashti bunyan - lookaftering--very pretty even if it's nothing hugely engaging; the first two tracks are so excellent

converge - jane doe--i really like this but i can't really listen past the first four tracks for whatever reason :(

fires were shot - solace--duh

joanna newsom - ys--some great stuff here, but it's far from perfect or a classic or whatever. for no real reason that i can find other than i just don't like it enough. tracks 1, 3 and 5 rule however.

yea i know what you mean. i found ys and have on me both decent (have on me was waaay too long though) and each had some great songs but i don't see how they are so highly regarded
