yeah, i might be up for it.

Against Miik! 07-15-2005 12:01 AM

I don't think Cream is going down.

Me: Mom, can I go to the Cream concert?
Mom: Sure, wheres it at?
Me: New York
Mom: Um who are you going with?
Me: Um some dudes I met on the internet...
Mom: :amaze:  ...no

Thats basically as far as that would get for me.

Seafroggys 07-15-2005 12:21 AM

Well I finally saw The Kids Are Alright the other day.

Holy crap its so awesome. I loved that last gig they did in the studio (with Baba O'Reily and Won't Get FOoled Again). That slow-motion shot right at the scream has gotta be the ultimate orgasm of rock music.

I'm now in love with See Me Feel Me.

yeah, the slow motion shot with pete sliding towards the camera is gold.

Flaminghotchino 07-15-2005 12:27 AM

okay? if by okay you mean two of the most exciting and electrifying showmen of their time. not to mention that pete was a master songwriter and lyricist and roger had a nice set of pipes on him.

Jacaranda 07-15-2005 12:36 AM

All this Who talks reminds me that I just picked up the Pete Townshend biography - Behind Blue Eyes, any one read it?

Seafroggys 07-15-2005 12:38 AM

Not to mention the only ones still alive :upset:

What do y'al think of this new INXS show? Lot of people doing classic rock covers on there; this one guy did a rearranged funky cover of California Dreamer thats actually quite cool in its own right. Plus the show has Brooke Burke, which makes it perfect by itself ;)

shes so fine. theres nothing else to say.

edit: except to possibly make fun of my usage of "fine."

Nope, but I most definitely plan to, once I'm finished reading The Godfather.

I think that Lemmy is the undisputed king of rock ugliness.

There's a rumour that mole on his cheek gives him magic powers

Actually, the mole is a small conjoined brother and he is actually the talent in the bad. The mole writes all the sings and sings.

Illmatic 07-15-2005 01:41 AM

Come on, the Allmans aren't THAT ugly.

BassMasterMike88 07-15-2005 05:37 AM

I don't think that uglyness has anything to do with rockerness (I know thats not a word :p ) I don't Tom Petty or Neil Young or Steven Tyler uglyness kept them from going anywhere. Right?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 07-15-2005 06:50 AM

So....I just put a acid strip on my tounge and now I'm waiting for the effects to wear on....yep pretty boring for me. :p

Tripping music: (5 cd's lined up to listin to)

1. Piper at the Gates of Dawn
2. Tago Mago
3. Os Mutantes
4. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
5. Dark Side of the Moon

NP: Flaming - Pink Floyd

Ulysses 07-15-2005 07:02 AM

Mick Jagger is no pretty boy and look at the birds he scored and fame he attained.

RockAndRoll 07-15-2005 11:13 AM

The guy from the cars is pretty ugly.

MBS 07-15-2005 11:26 AM

Why are we talking about ugly rockstars?

Let's talk about Neil Young.

Who, ironically, happens to be an ugly rocker also.

NP: Don't Let It Bring You Down - Neil Young

Edit: Who thinks Schyma is still tripping?

BludgeonySteve 07-15-2005 11:30 AM

Crime in the City is one of my new favorite songs.

jpj 07-15-2005 11:39 AM
Edit: Who thinks Schyma is still tripping?
It's possible, he's probably on the tail-end of the trip though.

MBS 07-15-2005 11:44 AM

Who's seen the Last Waltz? You know that song they play with Clapton, and then Clapton's strap breaks, he fixes it but he screams something out.

The captions say he says "hold on" but my friends and I think he says "fuck!"

BludgeonySteve 07-15-2005 11:45 AM

I don't remember that part ;(

MBS 07-15-2005 11:50 AM
I don't remember that part ;(
It's a really small minute detail, that's probably why.

Lunch 07-15-2005 12:07 PM

Oh no, I missed the Who talk. My favorite part from TKAA is the My Generation at the Monterey Pop Festivel and then the montage of them smashing all their equipment up.

It`s such a good DVD though, it`s so hard to pick favourites!

*Barabara Anne, give me your hand...*

Lunch 07-15-2005 12:39 PM

Ok, even I skip Barabara Anne when I watch it. Keith Moon should not sing.

RockAndRoll 07-15-2005 12:41 PM

 It`s just soooooo funny though. I mean ofcrouse it`s not exactly a musical masterpeice, but it`s pure entertainment value is off the charts.
