****...our jazz band is plannig to play a song which doesnt have any bass parts, only tuba...and there are heaps of low notes which my 4 strings cant reach :upset:
I could "pop them up" but i tried that and the fingering is bloody awkward and i need to jump around the neck alot...at times like this i wish i had a low B

5 string basses were intended just for that, but ended up being more of an alternative to tuning down.

i'm going to dl the song, and use my own programs to flip the song over and listen to it

Uhh that stairway to heaven is true. I put the CD on my comp recorded that part with windows media recorded and reversed it. Along with those other 7 songs on the site reversed,. I tried them all..
