I didn't read his whole post, whoops. Well, WIFS takes a lot of influence from gypsy music, which probably has a few roots in the celts, but not all much, but there is a tinge in there.


In other news, I made $40 today fixing my grandma's computer, it had a fux0red Norton, and I ended up having to go with my grandpa to get a new one. And I found out I just had to use some tool to remove the partial ****ed old one. But I had to be on dialup and it was pure hell.

Have to go back some time to set up another computer there, and then back again to set up their wireless DSL.

I saw a d'amn good Celtic band last night called the Zydepunks. I dunno if they're well known.

So I have an iPod, and all the files seem to have disapeared from it... and I can't connect it to my computer to put the files back on. This happened to anyone else?

the weirdest thing is happening. My friends band is being out in a movie that is being made by the winner of the new york film festival last year. They are in some scene. And my friend said he would wear my bands t shirt in the movie. I rule now

Ive been meaning to get into The Toasters and Planet Smashers for a while, but havent for one reason or another. They are coming around for Ska Is Dead 3, give me a CD from each band I should pick up. I realize this should go in the reccomendations thread, but hardly anyone poasts there, and im going to the music store soon, I need a quick answer.

tagging mp3's is so annoying

MediaMonkey can make the entire process easier. Winamp sucks for doing mass amounts of tagging. I did all my tagging at about 12000 MP3s, and started a good habit of tagging anything that comes in to make it easier.

I'll check MediaMonkey out.

If I had grouped it with all the high ranking bands in one poll, bands that deserve to move through couldn't, and low ranking bands would get farther then they should because there is less choice. Everything is even now.

It's true, these polls were waaay easier for me than the album ones. That one ended up putting all my favorites on the same poll.

well i mean this was pretty built to BE flawed. everyone has different musical tastes. lets say, since everyone gets a certain amount of times to vote for their favorite bands, one person may have every band they love on different lists, while another has all their favorite bands on the same lists.

i dunno, im trying to get all my thoughts together, its kinda hard to explain
