I can't, going to bed soon.
|
I used to like Aqualung but not so much anymore. It sounds like Medeival Music.
I'm a fan of songs like Song for Jeffery and Bouree. |
It sounds like Medeival Music.
That's why it's awesome. I was listening to Broadsword & The Beast at one of those listening station things at F.Y.E., and it sounded like the deformed bastard child of secular Renaissance music and 80's rock. |
Isn't Schyma only 15? How much crap has managed to get himself in at such a young age?

Let's just say he takes after his musical idol (Syd Barrett if you didn't already know). |
Pffttt...what the hell? What instrument does he play?
|
Am I too late for the list?
1. The Who 2. Grateful Dead 3. Cream 4. The Allman Brothers 5. Bob Dylan 6. Pink Floyd 7. The Kinks 8. Jethro Tull 9. Spirit 10. Ten Years After Really after the top spot it alternates between bands and phases I get into. |
10. Ten Years After
Nice. I'm listening to Ssssh right now. Alvin Lee owns, such a great blues-guitarist. np- I Woke Up This Morning The solo in this song is amazing. Alvin Lee is definitely up there with my favorite guitarists ever. |
I'll just do top 10 bands of all time.
1. Rolling Stones 1. Jane's Addiction 2. AFI 3. David Bowie 4. Joy Division 5. Velvet Underground 6. Sonic Youth 7. The Who 8. U2 9. Dead Kennedys/Smiths/Crystal Method |
2. AFI
They're good, but I dunno about one of my ten favorite bands ever. And I'm glad someone else here likes The Smiths. |
I haven't heard much of The Smiths.
*cough*uploadsomething*cough* :) |
I can't do a top 10 because I would have to split it up among hip-hop and rock/jazz/whatever
|
I can't do a top 10 because I would have to split it up among hip-hop and rock/jazz/whatever
So? I did  |
Hey Lunch, how far away do you live from DC?
Edit: Vote Buckley in the vocalists poll. Now. |
Hey, I'm looking for Wake Up... It's Tomorrow or any other Strawberry Alarm Clock albums. If you can help me out, send it to BPMead007@aol.com
|
I might as well post my list of favorites:
1. The Beatles/John Lennon 2. The Who 3. Cream 4. Deep Purple 5. Jethro Tull 6. Hendrix Experience 7. Emerson Lake and Palmer 8. Metallica 9. Black Sabbath 10. Blue Oyster Cult meh 6 on is kinda iffy, but the first 5 is very accurate.....I put Lennon with The Beatles just because in my head I just put all the solo stuff in with THe Beatles' material |
I really didn't dig Ssssh that much at first, though it's rare for me to really get into an album on the first listen, so I'll definitely have to give it another chance.
Thanks to your guys recommendations, I'm slowly but surely becoming a Grateful Dead fan. One thing I noticed about them though, and it might just be me, but the vocals sound kind of unstable at times, almost as though Garcia is about to cry...like I said, that might just be me. |
I just have a compilation by them, and I like it alot.
|
I'm thinking I might do a write up for R & M about David Byrne/Talking Heads, which happens to be my super secksi avatar today.
|
I haven't heard much of The Smiths.
*cough*uploadsomething*cough* :)
If I'm feeling nice today I'll send out The Queen Is Dead. Anyone else want it, so I know who to e-mail later today? |
Stop Making Sense is awesome.
That reminds me, after school I get to watch my music dvd's (Crossroads Festival, The Last Waltz, Led Zeppelin, Stop Making Sense, plenty of Hendrix, Live At Pompeii, etc.) on my dad's new surround sound system. We watched a Clapton dvd on it the other day and it was awesome. The sound echoes around the room, like you're actually there. Very cool. |

Oh c'mon they aren't that bad are they? Punk++
I haven't heard much of The Smiths. *cough*uploadsomething*cough* :)
I can send you something if EMH doesn't. They took me awhile to get into, but slowly they have became one of my favorite's, plus I love Morrissey's voice. So if on first listen you don't like them give them a few more. Gawd, damn. I've been sick for 5 days now and I haven't really listened to music at all because I've had horrible headache's constantly, but today I don't have a headache so I'll be binge-ing on music. NP: NWA - Straight Outta Compton, I've had this stuck in my head for 3 days. Feels good to listen to it now. The torture scence in Reservoir Dogs was very pleasing with the surround sound. |
I've been sick for 5 days now
Yeah, being sick blows. I've been sick since Saturday, so I took today off from school to try to get better. (God, my parents are cool.) |
I live about 30 minutes away from DC, why?
|
I took I got my brother Are You Experienced? for christmas.
I got the less cooler one Dookie by Greenday. I dont like Greenday. |

We should have a secret Achilles/Tommy meeting. |
We should have a secret Achilles/Tommy meeting.
Yes, a secret meeting that's not so secret anymore. My parents want to take me to the Holocaust museum for some reason. Edit: I'm posting that Tommy article today, it's your job to whore it to everyone in an attempt to promote the wonderfulness that is Tommy. |
I've never been, but I figure it's pretty sad. Are you Jewish?
I can't for Christmas because I'm getting a bunch of sweet CDs. A few are by bands I've never heard before or that we've never/barely mentioned in here. |
How does everyone like the new username? Huh? Huh? :naughty:
|
Are you Jewish?
I can't for Christmas because I'm getting a bunch of sweet CDs, most of which are fairly rare. Lots of uploads after I get them.
No, but they still insist on taking me. (RNR LOL) I went there once when I was 10 years old, and it was a pretty depressing place. They wouldn't let me into the main exhibit, but the exhibit for kids while the adults go see the main exhibit still is bad. We're flying back to California New Years Eve. Any good record stores around there? I'm sure I'm getting plenty of money. A 5 hour flight + no new music = death to Aaron.
How does everyone like the new username? Huh? Huh?
See my quoted name for a better name. |

What, Krabcake or Jew? |
What, Krabcake or Jew?
 I hope to get lots of new cds for christmas this year. |
What, Krabcake or Jew?
Krabcake I'm not Jewish. |
In Washington I'm sure they have the the big chain stores and you can probably luck out and find a quality record store. I'm not very familiar with the specific area though.
|
Ok, the next Tull album I'll get will be Thick As a Brick. After that, would you guys say Stand Up or Benefit is better?
|
Krabcake
