That's not gonna do it.

Krabsworth 12-04-2005 09:35 PM

Okay fixed. Fugging spammers with their Lemon Party keeping us from hyper linking.

PinkFreud 12-04-2005 09:36 PM

thats an awesome shirt. i dont know about 36 dollars awesome though. my band shirts usually cost about 20.

Krabsworth 12-04-2005 09:37 PM

OR I can get this one:

http://www.luckybrandjeans.com/product.aspx?p=LBX07319&l=&k=dylan&pn=2

The description is fugged though, it says it has,"Desolation Row," on it, but it is All Along The Watch Tower.

zabbit82 12-04-2005 09:39 PM

Nice shirt, but I have to agree that 36$ for a shirt is stretchin it...

Krabsworth 12-04-2005 09:40 PM

But-but-MOMME I GOTTA HAV BOB DYLAN ON MY SHIRT

Illmatic 12-04-2005 09:40 PM

You should get the Subterranean Homesick Blues one. It's got a picture of Dylan holding up a sign that says, "Look out, kid!"

I dunno, I think it's kinda cool.

robo2448 12-04-2005 09:41 PM

I like the first one better. That's a really sweet shirt.

It says it is no longer available :-/

With the Subterranean Homesick Blues shirt, I really wouldn't want to have lyrics on my back at school. Idiots always read them out loud and make some,"wtf dat doez no maek cents!" comment

Illmatic 12-04-2005 09:57 PM

I said I wanted it, not that I was gonna get it :-\

Glitterati 12-04-2005 10:00 PM

That's a nice shirt.

Around August or so I showed you all my Dylan shirt I bought off eBay.

np: Miles Davis - Freddie Freeloader.

I need those shirts

np: Public Enemy - He Got Game (hey, it loops "For What It's Worth" and has Stephen Stills on it)

Leper 12-05-2005 12:08 AM

For the first time in a while I actually have a uncontested favourite song, and it's John Lennon's Working Class Hero.

I have that cd compilation of his, and I really liked the song, but I heard it on the radio on my way to hockey today, and suddenly it appealed to me even more. Maybe I was just in the perfect mood to hear that song, but yeah, it's now my favourite song.

blue3 12-05-2005 12:19 AM

My dad owns Brainwashed! What the hell.. I just bought it.

How is that compilation? I wanted to get it but ran out of money.

EDIT: Yay, 4000th post.

Leper 12-05-2005 12:25 AM

I really like it. I didn't know much of Lennon's solo work before I bought it, so I'm really digging it right now.

John Lennon- Mother

dude do they blank out ****ing when they played it on the radio? its so weird to hear a song that just so bluntly and clearly says that, especially a song from 35 years ago.

and the best place to hear that song is straight off of Plastic Ono Band

Leper 12-05-2005 01:23 AM

They actually didn't blank them out, which I was very surprised at, considering I heard it played at about 5:40 this afternoon lol.

I agree with you, it is very weird to hear that in a song from so long ago. I think it really hammers home the dark/frustration mood of the song though.

clown_phobia 12-05-2005 01:32 AM

His imagine album is just so great. There's not a single song I don't like (my least liked is "i dont wanna be a soldier mama"). Just everything on that album is great in my opinion.

I'm not really surprised they didn't censor it. The rap station my bus driver used to listen to never did.

So, I watched the documentary on The Concert for Bangladesh on Saturday, and I'm definitly getting the DVD. I also taped the Cream Reunion. Good stuff.

Bluesman 12-05-2005 08:36 AM

are the MC-5 considered classic rock band. they were a detroit band in the 70's that did some contrversial songs. my uncle turned me onto them last winter

Yea I really want The Concert For Bangladesh for Christmas. I didn't end up watching it though because I wanted to see it for the first time when I got it. The Cream Reunion was pretty sweet though.

Yea we've talked about MC5 a little bit. I don't know much about them, except that they're from Detroit, and I heard a song of their's I liked on Little Steven's Underground Garage Band.

magicbus 12-05-2005 03:00 PM

I just heard a few Donovan songs on my local NPR station. They were good. He's playing here on Sunday.

Krabsworth 12-05-2005 03:50 PM

I know a girl that knew him.

Seriously, how many times do we have to go over this? Did you download Eat a Peach when I uploaded it like a month ago? I don't understand why a blues and/or rock fan wouldn't listen to them.

Krabsworth 12-05-2005 05:32 PM

I'm really not all too big on the Allman Bros.

It's an awesome DVD. I got it a couple weeks ago, great stuff. Anyone know how to rip DVD soundtracks to the computer?

Donovon is awesome. I don't have any MC5.

Working Class Hero is a great song. Plastic Ono Band and Imagine are both amazing. It's really sad that December 8th is being remembered for Dimebag Darrel instead of John Lennon. No offense to Dimebag, but December 8th should belong to Lennon.

np- Dylan and the Band- Down in the Flood (live)

Edit- And I like the Allmans.

Seriously, you don't know how many time I've had people walk behind me muttering:

When you're strange, faces come out of the rain
When you're strange, no one remembers your name
When you're strange, when you're strange, when you're strange (this part they sing like it was all one line, because they have no idea how the song goes)
