yeah he's totally gonna get busted or have an intervention thrown on him if he keeps it up because he lives with his mom who is against all drugs but she knows he deals, so if he drops out she's probably not going to hesitate to turn him in.

i'd say there are different types of misanthropy, like i can get along with most people and don't hold any personal grudges but on the whole i think humanity is destined to fail because we lack coordination towards any real goal aside from increasing the population

other species don't need goals because they don't exceed their populations naturally for very long, if ever, and so live in equilibrium with the world around them, dying out or adapting as conditions change. we've pretty much transcended this, or at least we think we have, and our increased comfort/rate of survival=more people reproducing=lower standards to be met in order to reproduce. so we end up with people who are stupid as hell with a sense of entitlement over the rest of the natural world, which has led to overconsumption of natural resources which will eventually lead to the doom of the natural world and ourselves.
