The reason you have a low rep is pretty simple. Rep never caught on in the bass forum. The only regular with stars we have is Joz, and that's because he spends a lot of time in the pit, where reputation falls from the sky like rain.

I have repped bass forumers regulars... twice. And one non-regular. That's because a rep from me is worth over 200 points, and I don't give that out lightly. That's somewhere between a fifth and a quarter of the way to stars in one go! You shouldn't get that just for saying something funny, I don't think.

The bass forum regulars I've repped were Spazzout, for his extremely helpful thread in the Beginners forum, which I've now stickied, and BassVirtuoso, for geographising the MX Meetings list for me.

twopelu 12-03-2004 04:55 AM

Hi again. Good morning.

Rep points suck, you all know. Ive spreaded some but...I think just two or three times. I dont think they are any useful.

blizzard 12-03-2004 05:07 AM

How are u twopelu?

I don't like rep points much either i think i've given out about 3 so far and like you i don't that they serve much of a purpose

twopelu 12-03-2004 05:29 AM

Do you sleep?

twopelu 12-03-2004 05:46 AM

good question...

I think mods dont sleep, they have to be aware of possible thread hijacks or spams ;)

twopelu 12-03-2004 05:47 AM

I miss yourold avatar BassVIrtuoso, it was one of the coolest...

Left Shoe 12-03-2004 05:56 AM

sleep is for the weak , or the people who need, or some times just the people who have nothign better to do , so in conclusion sleep is for the weak

peeted 12-03-2004 07:06 AM

grrr im rained in. ****ing wether

twopelu 12-03-2004 07:09 AM

Hi funk, hi eddie, hi IOPLayBass ;)

Im reaaaaddyyyyy toooo giiigggg

When you are in the gig-day, do you prepare each thing carefully or you just go and play?

I say this because this week I have been planning each thing so the gig was perfect. From my look (hair, nails, clothes) to the instrument (wires, strap, strings). Im a little paranoid but, as Sheehan says, "when you play you should try to avoid any variable that could affect to your playing", and those are some posible variables. I love the way Sheehan thinks about playing.

Comments?

FUNKNBASS 12-03-2004 07:16 AM

Yeah, I usually get my gear ready, I check amp settings, and I go over my gear with a fine tooth comb. I check it for anything that might be wrong. Though I try not to think of the gig itself as much as what Im going to do after. If I think of only the gig I'll get exited or nervous enough to screw up. Its alot easier thinking about having a beer and relaxing after a show then the show itself.

FUNKNBASS 12-03-2004 07:17 AM
grrr im rained in. ****ing wether
I like the rain, especially on a day like today where if it rains I get to go home and sleep or just relax.

Mitchell Royce 12-03-2004 07:18 AM

The only thing I usually do is get the band together and make a final run-through of the entire set. Just to make sure we all know our parts well by then and see if there are any issues with equipment/batteries/etc. I rarely ever dress up for a gig. I did once, all black pants and long shirt, and I was sweating like a pig by the second song. I couldn't look down anymore because sweat was dripping into my eyes. Awful, but it was a real fun gig. Especially because everyone left after we played. I feel bad for whoever was on after us.

twopelu 12-03-2004 07:20 AM

Yeah, My girlfriend will be waiting for me after the gig...if it goes well she probably regret my bass playing ;)

raini days...mmm I dont like them cause Im so weather-sensible so when it rains I feel a little down. Luckily, here in Spain, it doesnt rain too often except in this season.

twopelu 12-03-2004 07:23 AM

I wear an orange nederland Tshirt, black/grey jeans and red skating trainers.

And my blackie bass, is so cool!

Ill be with my band mates from 4 pm to 11 pm, when the gig beggins, so we will have a lot of time to talk and that things. They are more experienced casue they are older and have played numerous gigs so I realy on them. But its the first gig for the singer and me.

twopelu 12-03-2004 07:24 AM

I go eating, then Ill go out with my band mates, see you guys!

Ill tell you how it went this night, or maybe tomorrow. C U
