Normally I don't, but it was the only music-related magazine that was available, so I bought it. It was just an interesting article.

Why should you go? How old are you dude? If you're 18, then you have no reason to go if you don't want to.

He's not 18.

He still shouldn't be forced to go if he does not want to. What right minded parents would shove religion down a childs throat?

Seriously man, if I were you, i'd stand up and not take that shit. IF you don't want to go, I don't see any reason why you should.

I agree, religion is even lamer if it is shoved down your throat when you don't want it.

kux0 03-25-2005 07:16 PM
I agree, religion is even lamer if it is shoved down your throat when you don't want it.
indeed. thats why there are so many corrupt mormons.

Ramsey 03-25-2005 07:19 PM

I have nothing against Christians, but if Christian parents shove this down a childs throat, then thats a problem. Parents should learn to raise their children open minded, so that the child can make up their mind, not raise them the "Christian" way or the "Muslim" way. Let the child figure that out for him/herself.

Thats so sad Joe, and i'm sorry to see you go. Only YOU can stop yourself from going. You know what to do man.

I agree with that

RiceMonster 03-25-2005 07:26 PM

Yeah, religion down someone's throat? I don't know about everyone else, but it would make me hate it then. I have nothing against religion either, just don't believe anymore(I was raised christian, but didn't get forced into anything like that).

Ramsey 03-25-2005 07:27 PM

I was raised Muslim, and I was forced countless times by mom to abide (my dads an atheist) but I would never conform, simply because things didn't add up in my head. In the end I told her to go screw herself, I will do what I want. I was 16 years old. She respected my feelings and layed off. Now she doesn't care anymore.

Kurtz 03-25-2005 07:36 PM

Both of my parents are Jewish, but they don't go all Hasidic on me. If anything, they're pretty secular.

I'm not athiest or agnostic, though.

GurS 03-25-2005 07:39 PM

My rents are Jews. We do all the ritualistic stuff... but then we'll go to a non-kosher steak house or whatever. My mum's pretty religious, my dad ain't, and I have issues with the whole organised religion thing anyway

MAthiAS 03-25-2005 07:43 PM

My parents are both Catholic, and they're somewhat religious. My dad goes to church every week. My mom sometimes does. I'm kind of undecided as to my beliefs.
