My sources will not reveal what the new album sounds like but in an interview with kirk he described the new album as ''Medieval Metal'' Now whether that means its going to be like the old Metallica or it means it has lots of war type drum fills on the snare ECT: I havn't a clue
Medieval Metal, wtf? I think that means old school thrash at least i hope so. I can't imagine Metallica playing Manowar. |
I often speak to sources close to Metallica. The next album is due for a late release this year. It was originally planned for march/April but the band have been tied up and had an extra long break! lol

Guess what I learned today, I learned that "Kirk" means church in German...I'm not sure if it's true...but the guy who told me knows his stuff |
Kirche is the german word for church
|
Kirche is the german word for church
Okay so I was a little off. He jus told me how to say it not how to spell it ;) |
Medieval Metal, wtf? I think that means old school thrash at least i hope so.
I can't imagine Metallica playing Manowar.
Haha, manowar kick ass no way is metallica going to make something like it though. |
Medieval Metal, wtf? I think that means old school thrash at least i hope so.
I can't imagine Metallica playing Manowar.
Metallica playing like Manowar would be a crime against the world. |
Can you imagine Lars in an outfit like this?
Manowar /shudders |
Can you imagine Lars in an outfit like this?
Manowar /shudders
That is the reason that I don't like most older metal bands.
I often speak to sources close to Metallica
Like? I think it'll be out late fall, end of 06. But then again they have tours spread out all summer so there isn't really much time for some solid work over a few weeks. |
Can you imagine Lars in an outfit like this?
Manowar /shudders
That's just plain awful. |
Can you imagine Lars in an outfit like this?

Manowar are the loudest band. :smoke:
That suit is pretty bad though. That's how most power metal bands dress though. |
Medieval metal sounds fun. Are Metallica turning power metal?
Wonder if Lars can keep up... |
Metallica is the reason I picked up a guitar!
Same with me. First things I ever learned were, Enter Sandman Fade To Black Welcome Home |
Can you imagine Lars in an outfit like this?
Manowar /shudders
Manowar have actually looked worse. Medieval metal sounds much better.
|
i'm watching the latest metallica vid and i think they are getting old
|
No shit? I'm looking forward to the next album but I know it wont be remotely as good as their older stuff. Ditching Bob Rock isn't going to save them.
|
I was just listening to Creeping Death live, and during the 'DIE' moment i got mad shivers up my spine :D
What are some Metallica riffs that do this to you? |

I was watching Live Shit the other day, and once again I laghed at Kirk during the San Diego show when they were playing Seek and Destroy. It's when James is walking round getting people to sing the chorus after him and he takes it to Lars and he goes "Seek and De...what?", then he sings the chorus again, points the mic at Kirk and he just makes this funny high pitched noise!! I laugh so much everytime I hear that.

When me and some friends saw a Metallica cover band named, Battery, during Seek and Destroy they came out in to the audience and were like "Seek and.." and then because we are dumbasses we did the "Seek and De... who? and the "Vagina" thing. :p |

Oh man talk about embarassment. Did people laugh at you? |
Yeah, but it was cool, we all had a blast.
|
Yeah, but it was cool, we all had a blast.
Which cover band was it? If it was Shortest Straw then I know that they're pretty sweet. There's a bunch of Metallica cover bands out there these days. |

Orion/To Live is to Die/Ktulu jam (1993) http://youtube.com/watch?v=CQY3wMA1Zhc&search=Garage%20Inc |
That video was really cool, i didn't like Jason's sound at the end of Orion but it was still good.
