There's lots of jobs, just a matter of what you are wanting to do.

Shoot you could move to LA and have a 85K/year + benfits job if you want with no qualifications or college. Course, that's a sewer sanitation engineer.. but they are hiring anyone!

Come on.. 85k/year.. that's like 6G a month...

Drum Phil 05-05-2006 03:24 PM

I'd be quite happy with that.

I'll take a quote from Bruce Almighty which i like:

"Some of the happiest people alive come home on an evening sticking to high heavens"

Futuro 05-05-2006 03:32 PM

I just want to get a student loan, go to MI. Practice my ass off, and be a professional drummer.

/Goes to practice

Josiah 05-05-2006 03:35 PM

Haha there ya go man! Do it!

25K isn't that bad for school loans and if you really want to, you can make it. It's not all fun and games, and most of the 'work' is not playing drums to be a pro drummer.. but non the less, a very achievable goal.

If you've made it through stick control and new breed.. toa click of couse.. and those books are normality for your practice. Then you can deff make it as a player.

aznriceball 05-05-2006 03:42 PM

I find myself taking more psychology courses (by more I mean registering for my second one) that I thought I would. And i am barely seeing my first major related course next semester (bioengineering 101).. i hope i don't have to change majors

Double Bass Jim 05-05-2006 04:10 PM

The very best education in psychology is right outside your door

You just have to look and listen

And depening on your will and the way you view things simply watching how everyone acts and experiencing human behaviour will give you the very best education. No book or professor could ever teach those things properly

You have to control yourself before you can learn of others and thats something i've always beleived in

Josiah 05-05-2006 04:26 PM

Exactly.

Pyschology is simply the study of observable human behavior and a attempt to explain it.

You can learn more then any degree by simply opening your eye's and ears and paying attention to the people around you.

You guys ought check out my *Media Galore* Thread in the Gear and Media. It's worth your time... just have a quick listen.
If you guys are like me, you usually skip over audio stuff because you are expecting some lame audio, but seriously, I think this'll tickle your fancy... just a little even.

And anyone else reading this... that audio is good quality... don't skip over it cause you think it's gonna be lo-fi garbage
